Give me love like her,
'Cause lately I've been waking up alone,
Paint splattered teardrops on my shirt,
Told you I'd let them go...

I tap my phone to cut off the music of my alarm. Wow such a great way to be woken up by the sound of Ed Sheeran's voice. It's like being awaken by angels. I'm wrapped up in the warmth of my covers and I don't want to leave them anytime soon. I tuck my head under the covers wishing it was a magical place I could stay all day, but sadly I can't. It's Monday so I have school.

One of the doors in the hallway opens up and I hear footsteps coming towards my room. Did I forget to lock my door yesterday? I hear it swing open and I feel like I'm drowning in a lake. My bed is soaked and I'm as wet as can be.

I lift my head from under the covers and none other than my brother Steven standing there with the biggest grin on his face. He burst out laughing when he sees me and crying on the floor yelling stop and how his stomach hurts from all the laughing.

Such a bastard.

Meet Steven. My sad excuse for an older brother. Well older by 2 minutes. He's sadly my twin.

We are nothing alike. I mean NOTHING. He's a child of Satin and I'm not. Simple.

He hangs with all the kids who gets drunk at parties every freaking day and likes to torment me at home and school. He's like my personal bully. Him and the entire football team.

I remove the dripping wet hair from my forehead and glare at him with hatred in my eyes.

"Dang I can practically see the smoke coming out of your ears!"

"STEVEN GET OUT!"

"Aww why I just got here."

I'm done talking to him already. I see a bucket in my room. More than likely the bucket he used to create Niagara Falls in my room.

I rush to get it and pick it up. Empty. Dang it.

"Steven I'm going to ask you nicely to leave. Now can you please get out of my room?"

"Ummm let me get back at you when I find an answer."

That is it! I chuck the bucket at him aiming for his face and he catches it. HE CATCHES IT! How do you just catch a freaking bucket like that. Well he is captain of the football team so he should be able to catch just about anything.

"HA! You thought!"

"Steven!"

"Okay okay. Mom told me to wake you up for school before she left."

Mom? Did I hear those words correctly? Mom told him to wake ME up for school. Since when did she ever care if I got up for school or not. Wait wait when did she even get home. She's always out with her useless excuse of a boyfriend. You know she claims that he's in some famous band called blood fish. What type of name is blood fish?! Out of all names in the world you choose blood fish. That sounds like a nickname that guys made up to call girls on their period. Ew that's a bad connection. I don't know where that came from honestly. Whatever. He's just another punk heavy metal junky who's gonna end up back in jail.

"Why does she care?" I say to my brother not looking for an answer, but I have a feeling he's going to give me one.

"What do you mean? Mom has always cared your the one who stopped caring about her."

Not this again. Steven actually thinks that mom will stop her drug addict ways and somehow will magically start making cookies for us in the kitchen again like when we were three. Or that dad might actually get back with her and we'll be a happy family again...yeah..no. Honestly I give props to dad for getting out of that relationship while he could. He has an awesome new girlfriend which is a big step up from mom.
