The next morning, Raon had teleported them back to the Henituse Residence. Ron and Vicross had excused themselves to continue their work. After Cale was done from his bath, he then heard a knock, he could see Ron, “The Count has asked you to join for breakfast, Young Master.” Cale hummed in agreement and asked Ron to help him get dressed.
Cale walked down the hall towards the dining room with Ron and an invisible Raon following him. The maids and servants bowed their heads in fear as he walked past them, Cale couldn’t care less about them. He was then greeted by his father, stepmother, and younger siblings. He just sat down quietly as they served the food. The meal was quiet, but not too awkward. He was too busy eating to not care about his surroundings.
It was then, “I heard a strange rumor.” Cale stopped eating and lifted his head to look at his father. “Apparently the Man Eating Tree, that black tree in the slums, had turned white with beautiful green leaves. There’s even grass growing in the place where nothing could grow.” Cale nodded his head and proceeded to eat his breakfast. “Isn’t it a strange rumor?” “It is.” Cale couldn’t help but realize that his father was observing his reaction. Deruth had a feeling it had something to do with his son, but he decided to not ask any further.
They all continued to eat in silence. “The King has invited you, Cale, to attend the First Prince’s birthday.” Cale stopped his fork midway with his mouth open. “Why me?” “Because you are the heir.” Cale frowned at his father’s words. Technically he was still the heir, he would have to talk to Violan about making Basen the heir if he wanted his slacker life. He just nods, “Yes, father.”
After Cale went back to his room, Ron had returned with a document in his hand. “These are the list of nobles that would attend the royal banquet. On the first day, a tea party will be held in the royal garden. Then a hunting tournament on the second day. And the royal banquet on the last day.” Cale took the list and scanned it briefly using his Record and gave it back to Ron. Ron looked at him, “I have an ability that could record and memorize everything I see, Ron.” Ron nodded his head before adding, “The tailor will come and take your measurements for the banquet, Young Master.” “Hmm… You can leave now, Ron.” The butler bowed his head and left the redhead alone.
An hour later the tailor had finished taking Cale’s measurements and had asked the nobleman to choose a design he wanted. Cale needed three new suits for the banquet. Cale sat on the sofa with kittens on his lap and an invisible Dragon on his shoulders. Cale had let the kids choose the suits for him. Ohn had chosen an elegant white suit with gold embroidered for the royal banquet. Raon had chosen a black leather suit for the hunting tournament. And lastly, Hong had chosen a red maroon suit with black silks for the tea party. They were all very good designs, but he was afraid he would stand out so much in those. Cale frowned at their choices, but flinched when he saw Ron’s smile, it seemed like he had agreed with the kids’ choices. Cale could only sighs in defeat.
As Cale walked out the door, he whispered to both Raon and Ron, “We’re heading out to the Stan territory and the Eastern Continent.” The royal banquet was still a week away, but Cale wanted to strengthen all his Ancient Powers before coming to the Capital.
That night Cale along with the butler, chef, kittens, and Dragon went on a trip to strengthen two of his Ancient Powers. Raon had teleported them to one of the peaks of the Ten Finger Mountains where the Fire of Destruction was located. Cale could see the liquid fire in the center, he then took out a spatial bag that was filled with gold coins that he and the children had looted a week ago during their travels. Cale gathered the wind by his feet and floated right above the liquid fire, he then put both his hands inside the bag and ripped it open from the inside. Gold coins started to come out and poured towards the liquid fire. Cale used the Sound of the Wind to move the gold coin and made it look like it was raining gold.
