The car came to a stop as I sucked in a deep breath. My head hurting as thoughts spiraled more and more. Me and my overthinking ass.

I open the door along with George, as we got down on the same beat. My body moving on its own. I've done this many times. I pull the door open for Lily to get down as George did the same for Jungkook.

Lily smiled at me as I held out my hand for her. "Thank you, Lixie." I smile at her chosen nickname and then dropped my smile, draining any emotions off my face. I'm on duty.

"Sorry, shouldn't make an on duty officer laugh." she giggled and I blink once, agreeing with her.

George stayed back as usual as I waited for Jungkook to walk towards Lily's side. He took her gloved hand in his' as they started walking together, I was on Jungkook's side as usual.

I stepped ahead as we approached the security. Who the fuck has security check up at their home. Unless they are Mafia. They aren't Mafia, right?

I don't recognise the men. I see no symbol of any rivalry or ally groups as I frown internally, nothing on my face.

"Walk in through the detector." The huge-ass guard said as I nod.

I go through the detector as it beeped 3 times. The guards looked alerted. "Guard too, boys." I let them know as I show my gun, that was tucked in my belt. Out of many other that I have tucked in.

The other man asked me to stand on the platform as he patted me down. I frowned when I saw no lady helper there. Jungkook and I will break their hands if they pat Lily to check.

The man nodded as I stood to a side, waiting for Jungkook. He confidently walked through the metal detector and it didn't beep, his light smirk of victory dancing on his face as he stood on the platform too, hands up behind his head as he clenched his jaws. I'm not a king here. is probably going on in his head repeatedly.

I hear heels clicking as I saw a lady walking, her hair up done, what I think is called a French braid.

Lily walked through the metal detector being clear too as she let the lady pat her. Her hands didn't linger anywhere for more than a second as she let her go within few seconds.

"Welcome home," The girl greets as she walks towards us to stand in front of Jungkook to escort us.

"Where you going man? The servant's quarter is that side." the man who patted me down earlier, yelled as soon as I take a step with them. I raise my hands as if I surrendered and chuckled. "Chill man." I say as I walk towards them, exchanging glances with Jungkook and Lily before walking off.

"Maria," I tested her name as she turned back to look at me. "You remember me?" she asked and I nodded.

"You were the one that taught me archery, didn't you? Well, tried to." I corrected myself as I chuckle. "I hardly remember that piece of memory, I was so bad at it." I shook my head embarrassingly. Face in my hands while Jungkook was stunned beside me.

"Not your fault, Lilac. We had really less time together. We only had 2 classes before you shifted to the City mansion." Maria opened a door which led to the main hall.

The door caught her eyes as she turned back. I gulped, readying myself to face her once again.

I'll never make my baby feel worthless.
