Chapter 11

In a swift moment, Mr Howard trapped the creature in the cage.

"Wait... is it getting bigger?" asks Jason

"It definitely is", says Marcus.

Then, a violent sound was heard. The creature, getting stronger and bigger, slashes open the cage and breaks free like it's a piece of cake.

"We better run or it's going to eat us alive!" said Melissa, her voice shaking in extreme fear.

The creature got faster and faster every minute until it got to Mr Howard. He held Mr Howard's leg and slashed his knee. But fortunately, Mr Howard got away by kicking the creature as fast as he could with his other leg. The creature recoiled and staggered back.

Then Marcus suddenly hears the voice. Come closer. Just then, he realizes that he's rooted to his spot. His legs are not moving.

"What's happening to me?", whispers Marcus in a trembling voice.

Again, he hears the voice. Come closer. His legs start moving on their own accord and he finds himself moving the opposite way... towards the creature!

Marcus screams and hits the ground face first. He feels a sudden grip on his legs as he is being pulled along the ground mercilessly, towards the creature. As the monster feeds on Marcus's fear, the creature's eyes grow bloodshot red.

But something weird happens next. Marcus finds himself free of the creature's grip. He immediately scuffles back as far as he could and away from the creature. The creature decides to spare Marcus as it has an important role for Marcus in the near future.
