I Know The End

I ran faster than I have ever ran in my life. Not stopping until I reached where I wanted to go. I ignored all the pain that surrounded my body. My legs felt like cement and my head banged every time I put my foot on the ground. Everything was so loud. I needed it to stop.

I had ran into town, it was the only way I could get to where I was planning on going. Blairs old house. Blair was my best friend all through elementary school and middle school. She helped me get through all the bullying throughout the years. She moved away just before entering freshmen year, leaving me all alone with my enemies. It wasn't her fault, her parents were getting a divorce and her Mom wanted her to live  with her, and unfortunately her Mom wanted to move far away from here.

Her house had been abandoned when no one bought it when they put it up for sale. Leaving it empty and my favorite place to go when I wanted to escape. It was far away, about 10 minutes by car, 40 minutes by walking, and 30 by running. I ran so fast I swear I made it in 20 minutes. I slowed down when I approached the house. I panted so hard I thought I would pass out, I bent down placing my hands on my knees trying my hardest to catch my breath.

Sweat trickled down the side of my forehead, I took the black sweatshirt that I was wearing and quickly shoved it off of me. I stood in front of the house, clad in my school uniform and breathing like I had just climbed a mountain. When I finally managed to calm my breaths a little, I gazed up at the house in front of me. The house was surrounded by woods, it was farther away from civilization but the town was close by.

The house was in terrible shape, which was strange seeing as though it's only been two years since people lived in it. The grass was over grown, and vines spiraled up the sides of the house, the house that was once painted white, was peeling away, leaving patches of grey wood on display. The windows were covered in brown boards, some were ripped off and thrown on the ground. It was such a sad sight, I wasn't too sure that coming here was even a good idea.

Still trying to catch my breath, I started to walk down the path that led to the front door, I wiped the bead of sweat that dripped from my forehead. I stopped in my tracks when a loud bang came from inside. All though I was sweating, I felt a chill creep down my spine. When I got closer to the door, I heard more noises coming from inside, like someone was moving things around.

Suddenly I felt protective over the house, who the hell was in there and what were they doing? Feeling a little more brave than I thought I was I kicked the door open and marched right in.
