Description: Joy's unexplainable love for cats is kinda cute. Okay. But it quickly got weird when she showed up with a kitten one day, a kitten that is sweet to her but hates everyone else.

"Ooh, it's more cat videos!" Joy exclaimed, excitedly pulling a lever to convince Riley to click on yet another five minute video of cats meowing.

"Joy, Riley doesn't need to see more cats," Anger groaned.

"Please, the world doesn't appreciate cats enough," she insisted.

"Well, in ancient Egypt, they worshipped cats," Sadness piped up, but as usual when she blurted out some random fact like that, the other four weren't entirely sure what she was talking about. Her face seemed to fall a little, though, when she realized it was happening again.

Joy knew just the thing to cheer her up, and placed a supportive arm around the blue emotion's shoulders. "Don't worry, we still love you."

Especially true for Joy; in the several months post-incident, Sadness had become a little sister of sorts to her. All four of them had even basically agreed that Sadness was their precious little emotion that they must protect at all costs. It was part of the reason why she was usually spared from the insults the four of them would constantly hurl at each other.

(although there were times all five would get involved and sadly, she couldn't escape it)

"I still don't think we should be watching more cats," Disgust chimed in, moving everyone's attention back to what they were watching.

"Please, if Joy showed up one day with a pet cat we'd never hear the end of it," Anger decided to look through The Mind Reader again, trying to ignore the cat sounds Riley was hearing.

Joy's face perked up a little. "Yeah... if..."

"Joy, what's going on?" Sadness asked. "Why did you call us all over here?"

Riley had already fallen asleep, the memories had already been sent to Long Term, and Riley's dreams had already begun. Why Joy had called a team meeting now was anyone's guess.

"Have I got a surprise for you!" Joy simply exclaimed, disappearing behind the storage space for the idea bulbs.

Not even a second later, she returned with a small bundle of fur in her arms. The negative emotions weren't sure what to expect when it lifted a tiny head and let out a meow.

"...You didn't," Disgust groaned.

"I sure did!" Joy beamed.

"Was this why you decided to 'check up on the islands' when Riley was doing homework?" Fear asked.

"Yup!" Joy was still grinning wildly as she hugged the kitten tightly. "Isn't she adorable?"

"Joy, let me end this now," Disgust said. "We don't need a cat in Headquarters."

"Oh, come on," Joy insisted, but couldn't help but giggle a little as the kitten made more meows, and even in the minds of the negative four, they couldn't help but find the tiny noises a little cute. "We can see if we can handle pets in here. Besides, Anger technically gave me the idea."

"It was a joke!" Anger argued.

"To me, it was the greatest joke you've made," Joy said. "Because now we have a new addition to the family."

Only Sadness seemed at all curious about siding with Joy. "Well... if you really want to have a cat..."

"That's the spirit, Sadness!" Joy smiled even wider. "Just because of that, I'm naming the cat Raindrop in your honor."
