I'm avoiding the unavoidable, AKA Jisung.

Since the conversation with the boys, everything is bubbling up again, flourishing beneath my skin, burning me inside out with the same flames I once knew.

Now, every time my eyes land on those stupidly beautiful brown ones of Jisung, I freeze. It feels as if my mind had left my body, the tips of my fingers tingle and buzz and my heart starts picking up it's pace. Being next to him his just as torturous as being away from him, but at least the latter is a somewhat familiar feeling, even if intensified.

The history project has been left aside slightly and I'm just now starting to worry about it because it's a 60% of the final grade. Impulsively and anxious out of my mind, I told Jisung to come over so we could work on it. It's simple, really, just a PowerPoint presentation, so I hoped we'd be finished soon enough.

However, as soon as Jisung arrived I knew that was going to be difficult.

I stand dumbly at the door, looking at him and frozen in place. He's smiling, white bag hanging off his hand and baby blue schoolbag draped over his shoulder. "Hi." he says, eyes sparkling.

I clear my throat and wordlessly let him inside, closing the door behind him. "You've been to my room before, so wait for me there. I'm gonna grab some snacks." I say. It's all just an excuse to calm my heart and will the blush on my ears to die down.

"Oh! Mom made cheesecake, said you should try it. She's wondering if you'll come over again." Jisung walks past me into the kitchen, helping himself. He's been here enough times to do so comfortably, courtesy of Felix and his newfound love for Jisung.

Talking about the angel with the devil's voice, said voice screams from upstairs before padded footsteps run our way. "Jisungie!" Felix says. "Minho didn't tell me you were coming!"

As soon as he enters the kitchen, he jumps on his twin's arms. That's how the group has taken to calling them, the sunshine twins. It fits them scarily well.

"You guys saw each other barely three hours ago." I say, rolling my eyes. Internally, though, I'm so greatful that now Jisung's attention isn't solely on me.

They, as per usual, ignorme completely. "What else has Minho hidden from you, Lix?" the fake disappointment in Jisung's voice has my lips turning up in a grin as I take out three plates for the cheesecake.

Felix pretends to think, still tangled between Jisung's arms. "I don't think he ever told me when your birthday is, which is weird because he's, like, always talking about you."

"Oh?"

If my ears could explode I'm sure they would be doing so right this instant. "Hey, that's a lie. I barely mention him." I defend.
