I pressed my hand against the cold pane. The woman in her forties shook her head, "Here we go again" I looked around for answers. The eighteen years old boy grimaced, "They chose you for experimenting. Apparently they are looking for some sort of cure. We are chosen because there is no one that will look for us. No one who will miss us. So if we die we are written off as ones and zeroes." I fell to the floor crying. Men casually walked the corridor ignored me as they walked back and forth.

A man walked in and told me to sit down. I did as I was told to do. The man said that he is giving me a booster shot to enhance my immune system. He gave me seven injections. This will make experimenting on me easy. The others asked me if I was ok. I hiccuped that I was fine. He gave me a pat on the head and walked out. He promised that things will be alright. I lay down on the floor wondering what is waiting for me. A few lab coats came to look at me. I felt like I was in a reverse zoo. I was the exotic animal and they were the field trip kids.

They brought me my food and I ate without complaining. As I ate my third morsel I felt my throat become dry. I felt someone wrap their arms around me and squeezed me tightly. I regurgitated everything. I started to spasm and the doors flung open people in nurse's outfit ran to treat me. They yelled that I was having high fever. I was going into anaphylactic shock. They carted me to small treatment room. I got injected with all sorts of stuff. Darkness enveloped me.

I woke up to see a young man in his twenties leaning against the treatment room door. He asked me if he could talk. I asked him what was going on. He said that he had escaped but he saw how his blood was kept and used unfairly so he had the entire stick injected into me. So he and I are equal. While the others are weak he sees strength in me. He is taking a leap of faith with me and facilitating my escape. He made one request. I should stop fighting. He told me that if I panic then things will get worse so just calm down. So I focused on my breathing and I calmed down. He grinned, "Good job. Now stop fighting the change and embrace it." I told him that my body is fighting it. I have no control. He grinned, "Ok. If you had control what would you?" I explained that I would allow this to happen smoothly. He grinned, "Imagine being inside a chrysalis. You are about to become a butterfly" I did as he said and it felt good.

He pushed me and I jumped up to see that I was on the treatment room. I got up and felt slightly dizzy but I got up regardless as the room spun. I held on to anything and everything till I was outside in the corridor. I slowly dragged my feet as the corridor kept spinning. I cried as I felt the bones in my body break. I fell to the floor. The bone break ended and I felt like my legs were jelly like. I needed this to stop so I imagined that I was a butterfly in a chrysalis. I focused on good things. My mother, my father, my friends and my pet fish. Soon the pain subsided. The spinning stopped too. I managed to find my footing to stand up.

I kept walking till I found the control room. I decided that this place should be stopped so I pushed the button to release the others. They cheered as they walked out. I didn't look back as I ran to find the exit. I heard screams but I didn't look back. I heard footsteps so I jumped to the ceiling and held on. I watched as people ran to find out what was going on. When the last person was out of sight. I begged my legs to run as fast as it would allow. I ran so fast that I nearly slammed into a wall. It was daylight and I ran as fast as I could to get out of there.

When I got out of the building I was met with a huge wall. It was smooth so I couldn't scale it. I looked around to see that airships were taking off so I hopped on one. It took me over suburbia. I heard a woman talking to someone about me. I knew it was the family I was assigned to. So I jumped off the ship and glided to where they were. I was surprised that I managed to do that. I arrived at the police station and walked past my foster mother. I asked if the man could help me. He asked what happened and I said that I was assigned to Jacobs as a foster kid but when I landed I got kidnapped. I showed them the place where I was tased. The multiple needle marks in my arm were still fresh. The wounds were healing but still visible. The woman started to cry as man next to her demanded to know who was in charge. After an hour I was allowed to go home.

The city looked overcrowded and the buildings looked imposing. The president's palace was designed to resemble a Mayan pyramid. The police station was a square like column with an upturned pyramid on the top. Some buildings had spirals around it. Others looked like a child had played with blocks. We drove till we reached an apartment build that resembles a semicircle. There was a circular building designed for parking. The was one building that looked like multiple building were meshed together to make a super building. It looked creepy and useless at the same time. There were trains and flying cars everywhere. Heavy loads were the only ones allowed to go on the ground. Space ships were seen coming and going.

We lived on the twentieth floor. The apartments were close to one another. Everyone seems to know the other. They smiled as they welcomed me. I was shown my room. The view was ok. I saw a building that looked weird. It looked like a starfish. The center was a raised like a cylinder with rectangles slightly lower in height were spreading out in six different directions. I was told that this was the prison. That made sense. I saw a huge rectangle building. I was told that is the university. I saw a building that resembles a lily bud that is about open. I was told that it is a building for the native Aliens that live here. Humanous nocturnum. They resemble humans but they drink blood. We have a peace treaty with them.
