The blue-eyed girl watched as the silver-haired general walked away, getting further away from the bustling streets. Yet, he always managed to stand out from the crowd. Was it on purpose? Or perhaps it was because he was just that different... Either way, it was as if a match was lit in her heart... But why? She didn't know the answer to that herself. All she knew was that it was probably nothing to worry about. He didn't dislike her... Right? It didn't seem like it at least, and she doesn't remember doing anything that would anger him. "He left so abruptly... Does he hate me? No! No! NO! Nilou, hes the General Mahamatra of the akademiya! He's a busy person! Stop overthinking it! It's also selfish!" Nilou chastised herself.
"Hey, Nilou. Is there something wrong? Your facial expression keeps changing every few seconds and you're not speaking. What's the matter?" The dark-brown almost black-haired lioness asked her as she placed a hand on the dancer's shoulder.
"O-oh, right! Sorry for spacing out! I just got caught up in my own thoughts for a little bit there. I'm perfectly fine though! Thank you for the concern." Nilou smiled sheepishly as she rubbed the back of her hand with her palm. "I can't believe I just spaced out like that... Though Mr. Zubayr told me to be more aware. Wait a second... The General- I mean Cyno commented on that too. Do I really space out that much?! Oh, Archons I'm such an airhead!"
"No worries! Though, me and Candace should be on our way now. See you later! Oh and if you have the time, come stop by Aaru Village later today! We should be back there by noon!" Dehya laughed as she waved goodbye to Nilou and ran off into what seemed to be a cosmetics shop.
"See you later, Nilou. But before I go catch up with Dehya. I'm guessing you're planning to head to the oasis in the Red Sands to practice again?" The midnight-haired woman spoke softly, her tone was warm and welcoming as usual. It always made herself feel understood and welcomed.
"Most definitely! It's always so beautiful and calming there... It's the best place to practice dancing!" The sunset-haired girl exclaimed happily as she smiled at the taller woman.
"Would you like me to escort you there? The desert can be quite dangerous at night, just like during the daylight." Candace offered as she smiled back.
"It's alright, I can at least manage to protect myself a little bit. Thank you for the offer though." The dancer smiled softly. "Candace is so kind and considerate... She's amazing! No wonder all the kids in Aaru village look up to her like an older sister." "You should go catch up with Dehya now, see you later!" Nilou smiled brightly as she waved goodbye to the former who smiled and began to walk towards the cosmetics shop where Dehya ran into just a short while earlier.
Sigh...
Nilou looked around, she didn't remember what she had to do next, to be honest "... Oh! I still have to deliver the Padisarahs to Enteka! Uhh... I think they're still at my house. It's not too far from here. I could quickly run back and grab them. Yeah! That sounds good, I'm not all that busy today anyway."
The blue-eyed girl then walked over to where she left the flowers Cyno bought for her. They sat on a short ledge, ever so slightly swaying and fluttering in the breeze. They seemed to glow as they bathed beneath the warm and ever-glowing sunlight that passed through the forest leaves and foliage. She carefully picked up the bouquet and smiled down at them. They seemed to laugh and glitter like a happy child on a bright summer's day. Flowers truly were the purest form of life there was in the entirety of Teyvat. She didn't think anyone could disagree with that.
Once she had them in her arms she looked towards the sun for a second, admiring it in all its glory... Such a celestial body rose about them, day and night. Sometimes she felt the need to just stop for a moment and admire it and its beauty. The red-haired girl turned her head to the street in which she had walked earlier to get to the plaza. It was time to head home, sure it was only for a little bit then she'd need to be out again. But her first priority? To put these precious flowers in a beautifully crafted vase. And of course to grab the Padisarahs she had promised to bring to Enteka.
