Dimly, he thought that this was similar to falling into the rabbit hole in Wonderland, except this trip wasn't as pleasant.
It was cold and dark, and he wanted out-but he saved Kairi, right? He freed her and the rest of the princesses hearts, right?
Next thing he knew, he was a heartless. And all he wanted to do was find hearts-find Kairi, he reminded himself. He headed back through the castle following...what was he following?</p>

<p>He could sense Kairi's light. It was warm and comforting, not at all like how he felt a bit ago. But first he had to catch up.</p>
<p>Chasing after her light, he found her, Donald, and Goofy back near the entrance. Donald kept hitting him with his staff which kinda annoyed him.</p>
"...Sora? Is that you?"
Yes it's me, he wanted to say. I'm here Kairi!
Then they were surrounded by heartless, but Kairi didn't move a muscle.
"This time, I'll protect you."
Part of him wanted her to run away, but the other part was proud of her for being so brave.
Then he was being hugged? But heartless are attacking them, they're gonna-
Light blasted the heartless away and found himself hugging him back. "Kairi...thank you."
