"Where... where are you taking me?" Jungkook asked, his voice tinged with uncertainty, as Taehyung gently guided him into the front seat of his car.
"Shh, just sit quietly," Taehyung whispered, fastening Jungkook's seatbelt before stepping out and shutting the door.
As he turned, he was met with Jimin's questioning gaze, arms crossed over his chest. "Where are you taking my hyung?" Jimin inquired, raising an eyebrow.
"Gonna eat him tonight, got any problem?" Taehyung retorted, mirroring Jimin's stance and leaning against the car. Inside the car, Jungkook watched them silently, unable to hear their conversation due to the closed window. He sighed softly, a faint pout forming on his lips.
"Such a shameless mouth! Be mindful of what you say about my brother in front of me, you asshole!" Jimin playfully slapped Taehyung's cheeks. "Anyway... I came to tell you that..." He glanced back at Jungkook, offering a small smile before turning his attention back to Taehyung. "He might be a bit sensitive today, so take care of him."
"Why?" Taehyung inquired.
"I can't tell you, but his ex is a trigger point for him. So whatever happened today will keep playing on his mind," Jimin explained.
"I'll keep his head and heart occupied when he's with me. Don't worry!" Taehyung assured him, prompting Jimin to playfully slap his other cheek.
As they both turned towards Jungkook, who opened the door and stepped out to greet his friend, Taehyung withdrew from the mirror. "Wait, that's my friend! He's here because of the case. Taehyung, wait here, I'll be back soon, okay? Just a bit," Jungkook said, dashing towards his friend, their embrace signaling their close bond.
Taehyung averted his gaze as Jungkook hugged his friend, retreating to the car and settling in. He adjusted the mirror, but his attention kept drifting back to Jungkook conversing with his friend.
His reverie was interrupted when Jimin slid into the car and took the front seat. "Why are you so jealous?" Jimin teased.
Chuckling, Taehyung replied, "Do you know how much pain it brings to love from afar?" He placed a hand over his heart, his eyes still fixed on Jungkook. "Not knowing if that person will ever truly be yours, not knowing their daily routines like a typical boyfriend... I can't lay claim to him. I can't keep him to myself. Do you know how painful that is?"
"But I always told you about him when you were away! You were the one who didn't want to talk to him this whole time! He even came to meet you!" Jimin sounded exasperated.
