"Why did he kill Hyunjin?" Jungkook asked, scooting away from Taehyung and pulling his hand back.
"Hyunjin tried to hide the evidence that could have saved you from the case. He tried to conceal the CCTV footage," Taehyung said. He looked up at Jungkook, hesitating before revealing the other reason. "And Red was jealous. He thought he could overlook Hyunjin's actions, but when he saw you two together, his mind went wild."
Jungkook's eyes widened. "So, he killed him out of jealousy?"
"Truth be told, sunshine, Red is an animal when anyone touches you. He can't control that anger and madness, and it wasn't his plan to propose you again that day either but jealous got best of him again when he got to know Hyunjin was your ex. And yea he took you here and proposed" Taehyung explained, his voice tinged with a mix of regret and resignation as he shooks his head.
Jungkook's face paled as he processed the information. "Has he killed before?"
Taehyung hesitated before answering, "He did. He killed the police officer who kept you in jail overnight."
Jungkook's eyes widened further in shock. "He killed a police officer?!?" he almost shouted.
Taehyung nodded, his expression somber. "He was angry because that officer kept you in jail overnight and refused to help your mother with her complaint."
Jungkook felt a chill run down his spine. "Taehyung, this is... this is insanity. How can you live like this?"
Taehyung's eyes softened. "It’s a nightmare. But he thinks he’s doing what’s necessary, even if it means crossing lines that should never be crossed."
"Do you now remember everything he does?" Jungkook asked, recalling the time when Taehyung couldn't remember Red's actions when he was in control.
"Yes, I do now," Taehyung replied softly. "After three years of being there, "
his voice barely above a whisper. "It was terrifying to wake up with no memory of what happened, only to find out that Red had taken over and done things I would never condone. But then the memories started coming back, and I realized the full extent of what he was doing."
Silence fall over the room, until Taehyung spoke up.
"What are you thinking, sunshine?" Taehyung moved a bit closer to Jungkook, his voice soft and filled with apprehension. He hesitated for a moment before gently holding Jungkook's cheeks. "Will you leave us? Will you leave me?" he asked, his voice trembling.
Jungkook didn't reply, his eyes closing as Taehyung pressed a kiss to his cheek. "Please... my heart," Taehyung whispered, choosing a name that resonated with his deep feelings for Jungkook. "Don't leave. I literally don't have anyone else but you. And hyung .... you are mine. I can't really live without you," he expressed, his voice a mixture of desperation and love, as he kissed Jungkook on the other cheek.
