Chapter 2

"Name's Simon. No surname required, I know how things work around here so might as well play hard to get."

At this introduction, the classmates started to murmur amongst each other.

"What kind of introduction is that?"

"That's quite rude of him."

"Seriously?"

"How rude!"

"Why would he not say his surname?!"

Mr. Yamamoto sighed in frustration upon seeing that introduction. "Great.... another delinquent in my class? And here I thought I've had enough of those..." he murmured.

A purple-haired heiress is still surprised at the way the new student introduced himself.

Shaking his head, he then turned to Simon. "Okay, Mr. Simon, that was... quite the introduction. Go to your seat as soon as possible. And try not to cause trouble in this school."

Simon ignored that, and decided to go to his seat anyway. He sat down in the middle of his seat.

Mr. Yamamoto then coughed. "Alright, class, I think it's about time we begin what will be your course outline for today...."

As he spoke on, Simon just remained silent as he decided to sit down and listen. Truth is, not even a few minutes and he is already getting bored.

Yawning a bit, he blinked a few times just to stay awake.

'Should have brought my MP3 player with me so I can listen to music.... ah oh well, what can you do?'

Deciding to look around to ease his boredom, he noticed some students still staring at him, and some even whispering to each other.

Rolling his eyes, not caring if they'll notice, he turned his gaze back to where Mr. Yamamoto is teaching.

'This is gonna be quite the school year... and I know for sure I'm not exactly gonna be the guy students will get near at. Not that I care, since in the end it doesn't really matter.'

Sighing, he decided to just listen to Mr. Yamamoto and wait for the next lesson.

All the while ignoring all the murmurs and whispers from his classmates.

Unknown to him, however, Raiden Mei is looking at the boy in curiosity. From the way he introduced himself, this new boy definitely seems like a delinquent.

Well, not that she is trying to sound offensive, but still.

Though she has to wonder, with the way he introduced himself, why did he transfer to here in Chiba? What is his reasoning?

Whatever it is, she isn't sure what it is.

'I wonder.... if I can talk to him? It wouldn't hurt to ask, right? I know this is rude of me, but... hmmm... perhaps later during recess...'

It doesn't matter if he doesn't want to say his reasons, at least she'll get to know him better. Even if at first glance he doesn't want to talk.

Soon enough the bell rang, signifying recess time. All of the students stood up and immediately brought out their snacks.

Simon yawned a bit upon hearing the bell.

'Recess time.... well this is gonna be a bit boring. All I can do is just sit there and eat, but whatever.'

Truth is, earlier Simon got bored and almost went to sleep. Well, almost, if it weren't for the teachers noticing and yelling at him to wake up.
