*The next day*the day of mays funeral*
I get up and make an ad online to sell my furniture which includes a couch a couple of chairs two beds, and a TV.
Then I grab all my clothes my toothbrush, phone, computer, some medical stuff, a few bags of chips, and a box of cookies.
Then I check the time 8:00 am
My phone dings with a response for the ad they can take everything but the TV for 700 dollars which will be enough for a few months of food plus whatever I get for the TV I could probably buy a small tent or something.
A few minutes later I get an offer of 300 for the TV and they can come get it in 15 minutes, nice.
1 HOUR LATER
I have 1072 dollars and am fully packed I start to walk to Ned's house I also decided to not go to the funeral.
"Hey, Ned," I say as I walk into Ned's room.
"Hey, you ok?" He asks.
"Yeah, I'm fine," I reply "Can we just not talk about it?"
"Uh, sure... I have a new Lego set wanna build it together?" He asks
"Yeah," I say smiling. With how many people in my family are dead I am somewhat used to people around me dying.
*Two days later*

"Peter Ned come here please," Ned's mom yells from the kitchen so we both run to the kitchen and sit down at the table "Peter I just got a text saying that a couple wants to adopt you," Ned's mom says
"Oh, what are their names?" I ask.
