Day at school

Anya entered her class and was immediately hugged by her dear best friend Becky.
"You know that we met yesterday at school too,Right?"asked Anya but returned her hug anyway.
"I got here early and I hate to admit but everything is so boring without you",admitted Becky as they both took their seats at the first bench in the second row.
Anya looked around the classroom,her eyes searching for something or rather "someone".
"Second son has not arrived yet.He never gets late,he might not come at all now.It seems to be a lucky day you see",answered Becky without being questioned.
In a minute, headmaster entered the class.
"Dear students,You have your mid-term exams in 10 days.Make sure to be prepared well, announced the headmaster.We will organise a"— he was cut off by a panting Damian who asked,"May I come in sir?".
"You are 2 min 15 sec late.It is not elegant. And no, you may not".Damian stood outside,his head hung low.
"Let's continue,I was saying that the school will organise a trip for everyone who scores more than 75percent in these exams. Give your best."
"You can go inside.Make sure to never repeat this mistake again",said headmaster on his way out.
"Yes sir,thank you."
Damian sat alone behind Anya and Becky  which was his new usual spot because a teacher had asked him to help Anya out with studies. One of his two friends fell sick this morning. He was helping him out all by himself because the other one was on leave to visit family and hence the late and alone.
Damian wanted to ask what did the headmaster say before he came but starting conversation has always been tough for him,he is a shy boy masking his feelings with anger after all. Anya read his mind and said loudly,"BECKY,HOW COME WE HAVE EXAMS IN 10 DAYS AGAIN. THEY JUST GOT OVER 5 DAYS AGO.AND WHAT IF I DON'T SCORE MORE THAN 75PERCENT,HOW WILL YOU SURVIVE THE STUDY TRIP WITHOUT ME". 
Becky gave her a done look."You do know that I am literally sitting right next to you.My ears,Geez!And the  previous exams got over 50days ago not five.As for the last one,you scoring less than 75percent is quite a possibility and we need to think about that."
Damian was happy to get to know all of that without asking.He was fighting within himself whether or not to feel thankful to Anya.He choses not to acknowledge any feeling towards Anya whatsoever. But why the special treatment?Perhaps,feeling conflicted and trying hard to tell yourself that it is nothing special is something special indeed.
Now it was time for the Science lesson. Mr. Hamley  entered and the first thing he said was,"Today,I will take a surprise quiz.Exams are just around the corner and this will give you a reality check.There will be teams of three."
On every bench sat three students making the teams very clear except one.
Anya,Becky and Damian in one team,clarified Mr. Hamley.
"This is the worst day ever",muttered Becky.Becky and Damian still don't like each other. They argue mostly and sometimes talk normally.It is their dynamic everyone is habitual of now. Damian and Anya have progressed a bit. Damian is still shy, all knowing, proud and intelligent and has gotten even more handsome over the years.His brown hair complimenting his green eyes which when hit by sunlight make the whole room see the glitters. His tall stature and chiseled face make him look like a disney prince.
Anya has grown to be a beautiful young lady.Her pink hair are longer than they used to be. Her big and shiny eyes could make anyone fall for her. Her innocence and goofiness never left her.She got a bit more expressive even if it was with the people of her choice all thanks to her loving family.She got a better at studies at the courtesy of her uncle and father but it still couldn't guarantee more than 75 percent in these tests.
The science  quiz began. Questions were asked from all the teams.Anya was scared because it was their turn now,Becky was fairly confident while the second son was being..well the second son. "What is it that is present in pro insulin but not in mature insulin?"Damian smiled and was just about to answer but Anya read his mind and answered C-peptide immediately and smirked at him. "Correct",said Mr.Hamley who looked impressed.Damian's cheeks flushed,he looked at her not being able to decide if he was embarrassed or impressed.He just gave her one of those looks and the three of them took their seats. "Great job Anya",cheered Becky.
"She just got lucky.She barely passed science exam last time",muttered Damian. Like this, they attended their classes  and last bell rang as it was time to go back home.
