Chapter 4

The Prince of Beauty

 Three weeks have passed since I woke up inside this st-pid novel and for the past few days, I regained all of Adelaide's memories. I even got to tour myself inside this countdom through Aden—though he didn't actually know that—it just happen that he wanted to play everywhere and since I am his 'playmate', I was dragged by him wherever he goes. That's how I get to know this mansion so well.

It was also fortunate that I have the knowledge about this world and how it works. Given the fact that I have already read many fantasy novels like this one. 

This world has a different kind of rankings, which is probably already a basic knowledge to all fantasy novel readers, the order of nobility. There are three kinds of people in this era, the royalties, nobles and commoners. The one that rules the empire and has the royal blood is called royalties. Nobles are those people that we call the riches, the one who owns moneys of golds, the one with high social or political status; aristocratic. On the other hand, commoners are obviously the common or ordinary people who does not own a noble rank.

The royalty titles in Monarchy are the king and queen, the highest rank or the rulers of the kingdom. Meanwhile, their next generations are called the princes and the princesses.

In this novel, the Kyrios family are the known royalties where the crown prince slash the male lead of the story belong.

On the other hand, the noble titles start with the Duke and the Duchess title which is considered the highest heredity title of nobility. The second highest title in nobility is called Marquess and Marchioness. Beneath them is the Earl/Count and the Countess. Viscount and Viscountess title then came next. Lastly there is the title of Baron and Baroness.

Compared to earth, this is how the 'government' is in here.

Adelaide's Family, the Aoschiel house was given the title of the Count. Meaning, Adelaide's father, Count Aidhan Aoschiel  is a governor that rules in the king's name. He was in charge of keeping the peace, justice, and army of the empire. His wife, Countess Dorothea Callianthe-Aoschiel, who was supposed to be his partner in ruling their coundom, unfortunately has already passed away. That is why Adelaide and his brother's father was always busy doing his work alone.

Yesterday, I was lucky that the Count or fatherー I should start getting used to call them like they are my real family and this life I'm living at is actually mine so I wouldn't slip when talking loudly and no one would doubt meーate together with us with the reason that he was checking on me after the incident that happened to Adelaide.

Kung tutuusin kase ay mahirap hagilapin ito dahil nga sa sobrang busy niya. Kaya kadalasan, ang mag-kambal lang ang magkasama sa pagkain.

Speaking of kambal, this morning when are having our teatime, he suddenly suggested that we play hide-and-seek. He dragged me in the forest not far from the mansion without the maids knowing. Ewan ko ba kung bakit trip niyang sa gubat pa e ang lawak naman ng mansion nila. We were like some little ninjas as we tried so hard not to be noticed by our maids. It was kinda hard for me to move since I'm wearing a dress but luckily, the maids were busy with their own business. We also didn't have to worry about the knights that is guarding the mansion since the forest is considered a part of the mansion.

Time passed by and we play as he wanted. When sometime later I found where he was hiding, it was my turn to hide.

"Hide where I wouldn't see you easily sister!" Aden said as he smiled, turning so he could start counting.

"You don't have to tell me that Aden, I'm good at hiding." I laughed and so did he while he was still turned away.

I walked inside the forest and tried to think where I can hide. 

Unlike the forests that I'm used to, this forest looks so much better. It actually came out from a fantasy. 

'Maybe.... here, yeah, the bushes.'

I hide behind the bushes that has pink flowers on it. Every flower that I walk past through are really beautiful. They possess different kind of colors and I really like it.

Just when I thought that this the is best place to hide, I saw a bunny hopping its way to me. It's a cute white little bunny that kind of reminds me of the white cat that I keep feeding in my first life. 

"Hello little bunny. What are you doing here?"

I was about to approach the little bunny when it jumps away from me and went behind me instead. That's when I noticed the waterfalls not far from where I am. I didn't notice it earlier since I only saw the line of trees, so I thought it was just the deepest part of the forest but if you focused on the gaps of the trees, you'll be able to see the waterfalls shining under the sun.

In curiosity, I followed the little bunny inside. I actually walked for like 6 minutes before I arrived there. 

I brushed away the vines to get in and what I saw was a mesmerizing sight. 

The soft sound of the falling water is giving comforting vibe. The birds that flew and their songs of nostalgia is a music in my ears. The plants like flowers are so pretty that I wish I could see it every day. Lastly, the sunlight that passed through the giant trees gives of a majestic vibe.

It was surreal.

The little bunny earlier is now playing with the butterflies that surrounds every flower in here. 

'It's so pretty, I wonder if Aden has already been here.'

Just when I was about to run back to where Aden was so I could tell him about this place, I heard a soft chuckle coming from a distance.

I turned to look at where the sound came from, and I saw a silver haired boy laughing with his eyes closed. In front of him is a fox that looks to be the source of his sudden laugh. The boy looks not far from my age. Maybe thirteen or fourteen?

"Huh?" I mumbled in a low voice as I recalled something.

'But wait, I don't think this place is open for outsiders since this forest is part of the count's territory.'

I squinted my eyes while trying to get closer, but my eyes immediately became wide when I came upon a familiar face.

His silvery hair shone because of the sunlight that hit it and his eyes that when he opened them the baby blue eyes of his appeared. Plus, his soft features that gives him a soft boy effect. Looking at this kid, you could tell he'll shook the whole empire when he grows up. 

It feels like for a moment, everything became slow. The wind made his hair sway as he turned to look at my direction while I completely froze in my spot.

Such a beauty this prince possessed!
