ALEX SECRETLY HOPED FOR A QUIET NIGHT IN. Though, it wasn't very often that her wishes came true.
ARIA
Meet at the grille x
She practically groaned at the message, getting out of bed and pulling on a cardigan. She had a hospital appointment in the morning to see if she could get the stupid cast off of her leg.
Crutching out of the door, she headed to the kitchen, hoping to see if her mother was there.
"Hey, mum," Alex said, standing at the entrance.
"Yes sweetheart?" her mother asked, turning to face her.
"I'm gonna pop to the Grille, is that alright?" she asked, tucking a strand of hair behind her ears.
"Of course dear, though make sure you're here tomorrow night, yeah? It's the dinner with the St. Clair's, okay?" her mother replied, not entirely focused on her daughter.
"Of course," Alex said, pressing a kiss to her mother's cheek and making her way out of the door, handbag on her arm.
Once Alex had made her way to the Grille, she sat herself down with the girls.
"What's this about?" she asked, raising her hand slightly and ordering a drink.
"Jenna being at the funeral," Aria answered, Alex groaned.
"That's what I came for?" she practically hissed, "I was resting."
"Alright Grandma." Hanna said under her breath and Alex turned to glare at her.
"So, why was Jenna there?" Aria asked, taking a sip of her drink.
"I guess she's back." Spender replied.
"That cop acted like we were suspects or something." Hanna sighed.
"Do you think we looked guilty?" Emily asked.
"Why would we? We haven't done anything wrong." Aria defended.
"Except lie about the Jenna thing." Alex commented, pessimistically.
"We promised we'd never bring up the Jenna thing again, remember?" Spencer scolded, hitting Alex on the arm, "It never happened."
"Have you found a way to forget? I still wake up sometimes in the middle of the night." Alex retorted harshly.
"You wake up in the middle of the night anyway," Hanna said under her breath again and there appeared to be some animosity between the two.
"Alex, it was an accident."
"So were you, Spencer, but we still have to deal with you," Alex said, rubbing her eyes.
It was then that Hanna pulled out a flask, pouring it into her drink and a man was judging her from across the room.
