Best Friend - Grassy x Reader (Platonic)

Grassy swayed gently in the warm breeze, his green blades dancing under the bright sun. The sand beneath him was soft and golden, a stark contrast to the rich earth he was used to. Nearby, the ocean waves crashed rhythmically against the shore, their soothing sound blending with the laughter of his friend, [Y/N].

[Y/N] knelt beside Grassy; a wide smile spread across their face. They had come to the beach to enjoy a day of fun and relaxation, leaving behind the hectic pace of their everyday lives. As they sat together, [Y/N] reached out and patted Grassy's blades, their touch gentle and affectionate.

"Isn't this place amazing, Grassy?" [Y/N] said, their voice filled with excitement. "The sand, the sea, the sun—it's perfect!"

Grassy rustled in agreement, his blades shimmering in the sunlight. "Yes, Grassy thinks it really is beautiful here!" he replied, his voice soft and content. "I'm so glad we could spend the day together, [Y/N]."

[Y/N] grinned and leaned back, digging their fingers into the warm sand. "Me too, Grassy. There's just something so magical about the beach. It feels like all our worries just wash away with the tide."

As they sat there, [Y/N] began to build a sandcastle, their hands expertly shaping the sand into towers and walls. Grassy watched with fascination, admiring their friend's creativity and skill. He felt a sense of pride and joy being a part of this moment, sharing in the simple pleasures of the day.

"Can Grassy help?" Grassy asked, eager to join in the fun.

"Of course!" [Y/N] replied, their eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. "Let's make the biggest and best sandcastle ever!"

Grassy nodded, and with [Y/N]'s guidance, he used his fingers to make new designs that are drawn on the sandcastle that hold meaning of their friendship. Together, they built towering spires and deep moats, their laughter echoing across the beach as they worked.

"You seem pretty tired already, Grassy. How about we find seashells for now?" [Y/N] stated. Grassy nodded his head in delight. The two hopped over to beach shore to find new pretty seashells.

"Look! I found a crab!" Grassy exclaimed. [Y/N] smiled, as their brooded eyes stared into the tiny creature.

"How cool! We can add him to the bridge of our sandcastle."

Time seemed to stand still as they immersed themselves in their creation.

As the sun began to set, casting a golden glow over the beach, [Y/N] and Grassy stepped back to admire their masterpiece. The sandcastle stood tall and proud, a testament to their teamwork and friendship. [Y/N] placed a small seashell at the top of one of the towers, a final touch to complete their work.

"...And tadaaa," [Y/N] said, their voice filled with joy. "We did it, Grassy. We made a sandcastle!"

Grassy smiled with pride, feeling a deep sense of accomplishment. "Hooray! I couldn't have done it without you :)."

[Y/N] smiled and sat down beside Grassy, wrapping an arm around him. "And I couldn't have done it without you, either. You're the best friend anyone could ask for, Grassy."

Grassy leaned into [Y/N]'s embrace. "You're my best friend too, [Y/N]! Here's a crown!!"

[Y/N] chuckled. "Oh you made a crown out of seaweed? Thanks, Grassy."

As the two sat there, the waves gently lap at the shore, a sense of peace and contentment settled over them. The beach, with its endless expanse of sand and sea, had brought them closer together.

The sky turned a deep shade of orange and pink, the sun dipping below the horizon. Stars began to twinkle above, and the first hints of night began to creep in. [Y/N] and Grassy stayed by their sandcastle.

"We should come back here again," [Y/N] said, their voice soft and filled with warmth. "There's so much more we can do and explore together."

Grassy nodded in agreement. "Grassy thinks so too!"

And so, as the stars lit up the night sky and the waves continued their eternal dance, Grassy and [Y/N] sat together, their friendship stronger than ever. They knew that no matter where life took them, they would always have each other, and the memories of this perfect day on the beach would stay with them forever.
