not really fluff or angst but it's just their close bond :)
--Firey stood at the edge of the hill beneath him, watching Flower with a mixture of curiosity and confusion. Flower, who was self-proclaimed as a "fashion queen", was hunched over a makeshift table, surrounded by fabrics, needles, and a scattering of glitter. It even made Firey not surprised as to how she's pretty well-respected.
Firey tilted his head. Fashion had never been his thing; it seemed so mundane and boring compared to the thrill of a good competition. Honestly, he'd much rather consume mud than watch some sort of hobby. But there was something about Flower's intense focus that piqued his interest.
"Hey, Flower," Firey called out, making his way over to her. "What are you up to?"
Flower looked up, clearly startled by his presence. "Oh, Firey! I didn't see you there." She quickly composed herself, her usual confident demeanor returning. "I'm working on my latest fashion design. Why do you ask?"
Firey shrugged, trying to sound nonchalant. "Just curious. You always seem so into it, and I wanted to see what all the fuss is about."
Flower raised an eyebrow, clearly skeptical. "You? Interested in fashion? That's a first."
Firey laughed. "Yeah, I know it's not my usual thing, but it doesn't hurt to try new things, right?"
Flower studied him for a moment before nodding slowly. "Alright, Firey. If you're genuinely interested, I'll show you what I'm working on." She gestured to the table.
"I'm designing a new dress for the next fashion show. It's going to be a mix of elegance and modern style, with a bit of sparkle for that extra flair."
Firey leaned in closer, examining the fabric and sketches laid out before him. "It looks... interesting. How do you even start with something like this?"
Flower smiled, clearly pleased with his interest. "It all starts with an idea, Firey. I sketch out my vision, choose the fabrics, and then start putting it all together. It's a lot of work, but seeing the final product makes it all worth it."
Firey nodded, genuinely impressed. "I never realized how much effort goes into it. Can I help with anything?"
Flower blinked, clearly surprised. "You want to help?"
"Yeah, why not? It could be fun," Firey replied, his enthusiasm burning brighter. (see what i did there Haha [im not funny arent i])
Flower hesitated for a moment before handing him a piece of fabric. "Alright, you can help me cut out the pieces for the dress. Just be careful; we don't want any burn marks on the fabric."Firey took the fabric gingerly. "Got it. I'll be careful."
As they worked side by side, Firey found himself enjoying the process more than he expected. Flower's passion was contagious, and he admired her dedication and creativity. He realized that maybe there was more to fashion than he had initially thought. It wasn't just about clothes; it was about expressing yourself and who you truly are. He felt as though this fits Flower, a person who is modest and respectful. He wanted to show this respect to her.
"You're pretty good at this, Firey," Flower said, glancing at him with a smile. "Maybe there's a fashionista hidden inside you after all."
Firey laughed, a warm and hearty sound. He felt true enjoyment and felt pretty surprised he's enjoying this. "Who knows? Maybe there is. Thanks for letting me help, Flower. This is actually kind of fun."
Flower's smile widened, and for the first time, Firey saw a softer side of her. "Thank you, Firey. Your help means a lot."
The two smiled at each other. Although Firey couldn't directly hug Flower, he parted ways and promised to help her again...
