(Rui's POV)
I watch Tsukasa nervously fidgeting in class. I wonder what's up with him. He's been acting weird since our last show. He's not even paying attention, just staring out the window.
"Tsukasa?"
"Tsukasa?"
"Tsukasa!"
Tsukasa suddenly snaps out of his trance to see our teacher glaring at him.
"Mr. Tenma, the answer?"
Tsukasa: "Oh.. ah, 41."
"Correct. But don't slack off again, Tenma, or you'll be in detention."
Tsukasa: "Sorry, miss.."
*mind: "Huh?"*
[after school]
School has just ended, and I'm still really confused. Why is Tsukasa-kun acting this way? Wait.. Ah! Is that Tsukasa-kun? It is! I need to talk to him..
"Tsukasa-kun! Wait!"
*Tsukasa stops walking* Tsukasa: "Rui?.. Ah.. hey. Why are you here?"
"Tsukasa-kun.. you've been acting really weird. Are you okay? Did something happen? Please.. talk to me."
I take a closer look at his face. The usual sparkle in his eyes was.. gone. He looked emotionless.
"Tsukasa-kun.. I don't know what to do if you can't tell me what's wrong. Just please explain. It's like you're a... a different person entirely."
Tsukasa: "... Nothing's wrong, Rui. I'm fine."

(Tsukasa's pov)
*Flashback*
"Hello?"
???: "Is this Tsukasa Tenma?"
"Yes, why?"
Hospital: "This is the hospital. We needed to let you know.. your mother passed away today. At 3:59 PM."
"What?.."
"I'm sorry.."
