[Rui's house]
(Tsukasa's POV)
It's 11:58 PM. December 24. Two years after we got together, we got our own apartment and all that stuff. We set up our Christmas decorations two weeks ahead of time. Right now, we're just cuddling on the couch, waiting for midnight to come.
Rui snuggles his head against my shoulder. "Just two more minutes.."
I look at him. "Hm? Until what?"
Rui: "Midnight. It's almost Christmas. I can't wait to show what I got you."
I laugh. "We don't have to give presents the second the day starts, you know."
Rui: *pouts* "But I want to. Can't we?" He gives me the look I absolutely HATE because it's too cute for me to resist.
I roll my eyes. "Fineeee."
Rui: *grins* "Thank you, my star."
*surprised by the nickname* "'My star?' Where did that come from?"
Rui: "It suits you. Or would you rather have me just call you 'pumpkin' instead?"
"Nononono! That's even worse!" I sigh. "Just 'my star' is fine."
Rui: "Okay then, my star-" *gasps* "10 seconds till midnight!"
"Ah! What?"

The moment it hits 12, Rui spins me around and gives me a light kiss on the lips. He smirks. "I love you."
"I love you too."
Rui: "Now, why don't we open presents?"
