Chapter 10: The Surprise Announcement

A few days had passed since the incident at the Lookout. The pups had been busy with small tasks around Adventure Bay, but the tension from Chase and Skye's unspoken feelings still lingered. One morning, Ryder called everyone to the main room for an important announcement.

Ryder's POV

Ryder felt a mix of excitement and anticipation. He had been planning a special event for the pups and was eager to see their reactions.

Ryder: "Pups, I have some exciting news! We're going on a camping trip this weekend!"

The pups erupted into cheers. The idea of a camping trip filled them with excitement and anticipation. It was the perfect way to relax and bond as a team.

Chase's POV

Chase felt a wave of relief. The camping trip was a great opportunity to clear his mind and enjoy some time with his friends.

Rocky loved camping. He enjoyed being in nature and was looking forward to teaching the other pups some survival skills.

Rocky: "Alright, pups! Let's set up our tents and get everything ready."

As they set up camp, the pups worked together seamlessly. They pitched tents, gathered firewood, and prepared their sleeping areas. The sense of camaraderie was strong, and they felt more united than ever.

Marshall's POV

Marshall enjoyed the teamwork. He noticed that Chase and Skye were working closely together, and he couldn't help but wonder if there was more to their relationship.

Marshall's Thoughts: They're definitely close. Maybe there's more to it than they're letting on.

Marshall: "Hey, Chase, can you help me with this tent pole?"

Chase: "Sure thing, Marshall. Let's get this set up."

Rubble noticed the way Skye looked at Chase and couldn't help but smile. He had his own suspicions about their feelings.

Rubble: "Yeah, this is great. We should do this more often."

As the night wore on, the pups shared more stories and played games. The bond between them grew stronger, and they felt grateful for the opportunity to spend time together.

Ryder: "Great job today, pups. Let's get some rest and be ready for more fun tomorrow."
The pups settled into their tents, the sounds of the forest lulling them to sleep. They felt a deep sense of contentment, knowing they could rely on each other through thick and thin.

As Chase lay in his sleeping bag, he couldn't help but think about Skye. He wanted to tell her how he felt, but he wasn't sure if the timing was right.

Chase's Thoughts: I care about her so much. Maybe tomorrow I'll find the right moment.

Meanwhile, Skye was having similar thoughts. She wanted to express her feelings to Chase but didn't know how to start.

Skye's Thoughts: I wish I could find the courage to tell him. Maybe someday.
