"TONIGHT! 10:00 AT MY HOUSE!"

A basketball player announced loudly, the others cheering. He suddenly grabbed Gwen, who giggled, and he leaned down to kiss her. The group of people cheered in unison.

Naomi smiled at them as some cheerleaders congratulate each other for them winning the Cheer Con.

"You should come, Naomi!" Stacey, one of the cheerleaders, said.

"Yeah, you never come." Chrissy complained, pouting her pink lips.

"I'll try." She answered.

"Come on! You are the Queen of Hawkins High. That's like a requirement." Gwen suddenly appeared beside her.

"Yet, she's still the Queen despite not attending those wretched parties." Samantha replied, stopping in front of them.

"Again, Scott, we are not forcing you. But we would appreciate it if you showed up. After all, this is the first time that Hawkins High won the Cheer Con in my leadership." She says, "It's meaningful if all of us are there."

She looked around us, watching some cheerleaders happily talking to each other or their peers. The five of them was suddenly wrapped in silence.

"Okay, I'll go." Naomi suddenly said. Gwen, Stacey, and Chrissy cheered in unison while Samantha smiled at her.

"Good work today, Scott." Samantha smiled at her and patted her shoulder before walking away.

"Well, we'll see you later? Don't worry, Jason and I will fetch you in your place." Chrissy said then motioned a kiss with her lips before walking away. Most likely to congratulate Jason.

"See you, Naomi!" Stacey said then walked away. Gwen waved at her, which she answered with a wave back, then followed Stacey.

Naomi smiled at them as she stood alone. Some students smiled at her and said their congratulations, which Naomi would thank them for. She looked around.

She saw Dustin before, did he left with Lucas?

"Hey." She turned around and saw a ginger haired girl. Her face are adorned with freckles that looked good at her. She knows this kid.

"Maxine, is it?" Naomi questioned with a smile.

"Yes, but Max is good." She smied sheepishly.

"Okay, Max." Naomi called her name with a smile, "What are you doing here? Waiting for Billy?" She asked, looking around to find Billy.

"Yeah. I'm waiting for him." Max replied.

"Oh, well, I'll help you find him." Naomi said politely.

"NO!" Max suddenly shouted, her arms stopping her. Naomi flinched at the sound and looked at the kid with her eyes wide. Max coughed when she noticed that many people were watching her. "I mean, I am in no rush. I actually came in here to congratulate you. I saw you cheering Billy, and I know that it's practically your job as a cheerleader but I know Billy really appreciate it." Max started rambling.

Naomi smiled at the girl. She knows that very very very deep down, Max cared about Billy. However deep it may be.

"It's no problem. As you said, it is my job." Naomi answered.

"And I wanted to ask, how are you holding up?" The ginger haired girl questions hesitantly. Naomi's smile vanished in her face. She can see the way Max's face twisted into a grimace and unknowingly, her powers started acting up and read the kid's mind on it's own.
