Part 27 Aiura Mikoto

Hello everyone sorry for the long wait! I was busy this summer spending it with my fam whom I haven't seen for years. Here's a new chapter to compensate for the long wait!

Y/N POV

Even if we kept from everyone what had happened, it eventually broke out when we went to trial with everything, and with Kusuo's help, we got enough evidence for all of her crimes. Aunt Kaido, Shun and his siblings, Iridatsu family(yuta, his mom and dad), and of course the Saiki family was there to support me and I am so grateful. But the real hero behind this is obviously me. I withstood all of this, but of course, without Kusuo's help, I wouldn't be able to do it.

For the crime of child abuse, Noriko was sentenced to 15 years in prison. For breaking the restraining order, an additional 2 years. For kidnapping, 25 years. For false imprisonment of a minor, 10 years. And for attempted murder, life imprisonment without the possibility of parole. (I didn't do enough research so idk if this is accurate. But doesn't she deserve it?) And if you're wondering what happened to Rifuta? I made Kusuo not to let her transfer as she seemed to regret her actions. She has apologized profusely but I never said I would be accepting her apology.

I look at the boy walking next to me and I couldn't help but be overwhelmed with emotions. The boy who stood with me the whole way even if I sometimes overstep. He also made sure I wasn't left out in anything when I was afraid of speaking up to fit in.

"You've been staring at me for a while. Do I have something on my face?" Kusuo broke me out of my thinking box

"I'm not even gonna say anything you already know."

"Like what?" He urges for me to continue. We head out of school and as always, he always puts himself between me and the street

"Since when were you obsessed with praise? Anyway, I'm staring because you're amazing but also stupid because you're a psychic so how did you not notice I had feelings for you for so long"

He suddenly lowered his head to match my height and turned to me with a smile.

"I always knew."

I playfully hit him by the arm as he leans back

"And yet you chose to ignore it? Why didn't you say anything? And I was pretty sure I was careful..."

"You must've forgotten I can read your friend's mind? Chiyo and Kokomi. Who's the stupid one now? And I didn't say anything because I knew you weren't ready so I was waiting for you."

"Waiting... for me?"

He just nodded as we keep walking.

"Wait, that's not fair!!!"

In front of the classroom stood a girl with yellow hair and tanned skin. She has pink srunchie on her right arm, pink of what I believe are stickers under her eye. A star and a moon, and also she has a red hairclip. She then grabbed a chalk from the board and wrote her name introducing herself as Mikoto Aiura. But she preferred being called Miko.

"My hobbies are fortune telling and decorating nails" She said

"Fortune telling?? I like fortune telling too!!" I heard Chiyo say. I wouldn't be surprise. After all, I remember her totally believing what that creepy woman said.

"Isn't fortune telling exciting?!" Mikoto seemed happy as she spoke. Someone sharing same interest as her. "What's your name?"

"My name is Chiyo. I can show you this really good fortune teller" Ahh the one that scammed her.

"Ah thanks Chiyopipi!" She chuckled and opened her bag to reveal a crystal ball decorated with cute stuffs. "I'm actually a fortune teller myself" She exclaimed.
