chapter 7

I didn't want to leave her...I looked into his eyes as I walked past him to get to the door. There was anger and something else in them...I wasn't sure but it looked like excitement. I closed the door and worried about Emma. Her dad had hurt her before and I have been worried that he might do it again. It could have been an accident and he was drunk and didn't know what he was doing but by the way she acted when he got homeland the fear an worry I saw in her eyes. Maybe I should go back just in case he was going to hurt her. But what if I go back and he wasn't going to? Would that make him angrier and change his mind?

"Hey mom!" I said as I walked through the front door.

"Hey son! How was your day?" She asked watching tv.

"It was good...I went over to emma's sorry I didn't tell you sooner." I said taking a seat on the couch next to her.

"No...no, his is she doing?" She asked. Her eyes lit up and she muted the TV when I mentioned Emma. I could tell she liked her...I don't know how any one could hate her but it seems that people found a way.

"She seems to be doing fine." I said not sure wether or not to tell her I think her father is abusive or not.

"Are you sure? Doesn't sound like you think she is." My mum said grabbing a plate from the coffee table and taking it into the kitchen.

"No...it's not that it's just..."

"You fancy her don't you?" My mum said with a smirk on her face. I sat in the counter and smiled at the ground.

"There's just something about her...she's-she's special." I said messing with the bottom of my shirt.

"Have you told her how you feel?" She asked being nosy.

"Yeah." I said thinking about earlier.

"Annnnnd...what did she say?!" My mum asked getting all excited.

"She asked me...'why?'" I said still remembering how her face lot up when I told her why.

"And what did you say?" My mom asked sitting on the counter by me.

"I told her why...all of the reasons and when I did...her face lit up." I said smiling from the image of her dimples showing on her cheeks.

"What did she say after that?" She asked still being nosy.

"Her dad walked in and she became tense. I think it was because he was mad. He was yelling at someone on the phone and he was so na he didn't even notice me." I couldn't help but think if he was going to hurt her or not. " I just hope she likes me too."

"Me too son...me too." She said before hoping off the counter and leaving me to my thoughts.

***EMMAS POV***

"I like you." Liam's words kept ringing in my head. That and and a ringing that was giving me a major headache. We didn't have any ice so I was holding a pack if frozen vegetables to my eye which was starting to blacken.

When Liam left my father was VERY mad. I knew he would be if he caught him here but I took that risk. I took the risk if getting hurt and in trouble just to be able to talk to him longer.

What was he doing to me?

Liam liked me...he truly does but...he doesn't know how I feel. We were interrupted by my angry father and it all went downhill from there.

I threw on my work shirt and headed out. I worked the late shift tonight and was going to be late if I didn't hurry. I put some makeup on to try and conceal the bruise his fist had left. I covered it best I could and styled my hair so that it would help cover it up.

It was already pretty late so the sun was setting as I put my headphones in and blasted ed sheeran all the way to work.

***4 hours later.***

I fell into my bed when I got home wanting to get as much sleep as possible because I have school tomorrow. I soon fell asleep and for the first time in a long time I had a good dream and that's because in my dream there was no work..no school...no bullies...not father...just me and Liam and it was all prefect...then my alarm rang and reality flooded back in as I dragged myself out if bed and got ready for school. All I could think about was getting to see Liam again.

So sorry for the short an crappy chappy but I felt I needed to update soon cuz I haven't or a while! I went to a weekend church camp thingy this weekend and had another church thing last weekend so not much time to write! But OMG!!!!!LIKE IM SO HAPPY BECAUSE I NOW HAVE A BOYFRIEND!!! 4/7/13<3 he I so cute and sweet! Gah! So yeah.that put me in a good mood to write! Haha well byee lovlies!!!
