SHIFA SALEEM

I smell food. Opening my eyes which is trying to get more sleep. Finally I snap opening my eyes, smelling the delicious food, which is placed beside me. Shahid was nowhere.

I try to get up but a pling of pain snaps me back as I groan "Oh fuck, it hurts." I mutter to myself and he come to my view closing the bathroom door.

"Sabah-Al-Khair Amira." He greets me with a warm smile which replaced the cold expression he would usually have.

"Sabah-Al-Khair Amir." I greet him back as he approaches me. "Does it hurt Amira?" He inquires his eyes concerned.

"Y-Yeah a lot." I reply as he chuckles "That means I did well. Thanks for cooperating with me Amira." He whispers stroking my pouting face.

Suddenly he grabs me carrying me in his big arms, in a bridal style. "I'll help you out then. Since we both haven't showered, let's shower together. It's sunnah." He states as a blush takes over me. He takes me to the washroom and we both end up showering together.

After we came back from the shower, the food already got cold. "I will warm it up." I say grabbing the food tray and going downstairs.

While heating the food, he hugs me from behind, wrapping his hand over my waist kissing my neck tickling me.

"Breakfast..." He whispers as a shiver runs down my spine. He turns me towards him, leaning his forehead over mine he states "You know how to tease me a lot."

I chuckle as he smashes his lips onto mine. "I don't wanna go to work today." He pouts. "Then don't go." I answer right away.

"Only if I wasn't the CEO." He replies as I chuckle at him.

I had a day-off today since it is Saturday. But he has to go to work since he has some urgent business meeting with abroad. After having breakfast, he leaves for work as I tidy up the house helping the maid.

A sound of notification snaps me as I try to reach out my phone beside the bed-stand.

"What are you doing right now Amira?" He voice out in the other end. "Uhm...Trying to find a comfortable spot to read my book." I answer chuckling.

"How about my lap when I get back home? Think you can manage till then?" He asks as a heat rise over me. "You sure you can reach earlier?" I inquire glancing at the clock. 8 P.M.

"Yes love." He says as a smirk takes over my face. A sudden sound snaps me out, heart beating so fast that I forgot I was on the call. Getting up from the bed, I make my way towards the door tiptoeing.

Who the fuck would barge into this palace-like house. Only Shahid has the extra spare key. My heart sinks and beats harder and I glance at my phone, Shahid's name on my phone but no sound on the other end.

Decreasing the volume a bit, I text him. 'There is someone here."

"Don't worry it's me, Princess." The door flings open showing Shahid's figure, "The fuckkk that scared me." I raise my voice.

"Oh sorry Amira." He hugs me immediately stating "Surprise!" He says as I tap him on the shoulder.

"Didn't I give you Haunting Adeline vibe?" He asks, his eyes sparkling and concerned at the same time, "You fucking did." I reply as he chuckles.

He takes a seat on the chair ordering me "Sit on my lap. I kept my promise reaching here earlier." He says a smirk take over his lips.

I sit on his lap as he ordered and we further discuss about the book characters.
