It was a great day for Ishqi.. her 1st day at work.. and excitement bubbled within her, but it was soon overshadowed by a wave of nervousness. Here she was, embarking on a new chapter, and the weight of expectation pressed down on her.
She found herself pacing around the room, her mind racing with a million thoughts. What if she made a mistake? What if she didn't fit in? These worries gnawed at her confidence, leaving her feeling jittery.
Ahaan, sensing her apprehension, approached her and gently placed his hands on her shoulders.
A: relax, jaan.. he said softly, his voice laced with concern. He guided her towards the bed and sat her down, then offered her a glass of water.
Ishqi took a sip, her eyes meeting his.
I: mai.. mai na.. nervous ho rahi hu.. she confessed, her voice barely a whisper.
Ahaan smiled reassuringly, shaking his head.
A: no.. don't be.. you'll do great Ishqi.. trust me.. he said, his voice firm yet gentle..
His words held a weight of confidence that seeped into Ishqi's soul. She met his gaze, a flicker of determination replacing the nervousness. "Chalein?" he asked, extending his hand.
Ishqi nodded, a newfound resolve settling within her. They stood up, ready to face the day.
Just before they were about to leave, Savitri entered the room, a small plate in her hand. She held out a spoonful of dahi shakkar, a traditional blessing for good luck and prosperity. Ishqi bowed her head and accepted the sweet treat, a warm smile gracing her lips.
At the office, Ahaan dropped Ishqi off in front of the elegant boutique. He leaned across the passenger seat, his eyes filled with love and support.
A: sab achha hoga.. don't worry.. he said, his voice brimming with confidence.
Ishqi felt a surge of gratitude wash over her. She leaned forward and wrapped her arms around him, seeking comfort and strength in his embrace. The unfamiliar environment had reignited a spark of nervousness, and she found herself clinging to him a little tighter.
Ahaan sensed her racing heart and held her close.
A: Ishqi, kya hua? he asked, his voice laced with concern.
I: kuch nahi... bas thodi der ke liye aise rahiye na.. she whispered, her voice barely audible.
Ahaan understood. He gently rubbed her back, whispering loving words of encouragement in her ear. His touch, his words, were a soothing balm to her nerves.
Finally, he pulled away from the embrace, his gaze holding hers. He leaned down and placed a soft kiss on her forehead.
A: Good luck, sweetheart.. he murmured.
Ishqi took a deep breath, her heart filled with a mixture of excitement and determination. Today was her first day, and she was ready to face the challenge. With a final wave goodbye to Ahaan, she stepped out of the car and into her new beginning..
Ahaan arrived at Malhotra Constructions, the familiar bustle of activity a welcome distraction. He plunged into his work, tackling emails, reviewing reports, and attending meetings with his usual focused intensity. The day flew by in a whirlwind of activity, and soon it was time to head home.
