Chapter 54

The guests were whispering among themselves. "This is the true princess of the Jeon family even at such a young age is the owner of so much property. But it seems Park Jimin treats this kid as her own. Did you see even the Park family treats the princess as their own."

But Jungkook, Jimin and their family were least bothered about their gossips. Both the families were busy pampering their little angel. Now it was time for Wonie to choose an object which will decide her future nature as per a ritual in the Annaprasan ceremony. In the center of the hall a book, a pen, money, a small dagger and a flower were kept. Jungkook took Wonie for her to choose one object among the five. Jungkook first started from the dagger but Wonie didn't pick it up, next was a pen Wonie didn't pick that up too but as Jungkook went to the book, Wonie tried to pick up the book. As the book was a bit heavy for Wonie to lift so Jungkook helped her. "Princess, do you want this?" Even though Wonie couldn't say anything properly but as Jungkook gave her the book she started to inspect it showing her interest on the book. Everyone smiled and loud claps could be heard. Eunwoo smiled and said, "As usual our Wonie is the smartest, she will be a scholar in the future and as everyone knows knowledge is the biggest wealth a person can have. Money will come and go but if one has knowledge then that person can make a comeback even at their lowest."

"Well said, samdhan ji (in-laws)," praised Jin. Jungkook fondly looked at her daughter. Jimin also joined them and hugged Wonie, "My darling, well done."

As soon as Wonie saw Jimin she made grabby hands at her. Jimin also took her from Jungkook's lap and Wonie immediately hugged her neck. Jungkook sulked, "What did I say this girl only knows her mamma and forgets her dada?"

But soon Jungkook became busy attending his business partners. Wonie was also sleepy but didn't leave Jimin so Jimin also had to go upstairs with Wonie for her nap.

The whole Annaprasan ceremony ended successfully without any trouble.

But something was bugging Jimin, throughout this ceremony Nancy was nowhere to be seen. Knowing Nancy's nature Jimin knew that she would be creating trouble for them but she wasn't there. Jungkook just came out of the bath and saw Jimin in deep thoughts. He sat beside her and asked, "What are thinking so deeply, wife? If it isn't about me I'll be very hurt."

"Jungkook, did you notice something today? Nancy was nowhere to be seen today. I think something must be wrong."

Jungkook sighed, "Jaan, why care about her? Isn't it good she wasn't there in the ceremony to create more trouble for us. But for your relief, today morning when you were busy a servant from the guest house came to inform that she was sick. They arranged for a doctor for her. Maybe due to her health she didn't have the energy to come here. You don't worry for that insignificant person anymore and let's sleep."

Jimin nodded after knowing the whole truth and both husband and wife went to sleep.

In the middle of the night, a vibration from phone woke Jungkook up. Jungkook saw Jimin still sleeping soundly on his chest. He knew who sent the message and what the message could be. He lifted Jimin slowly and softy so as to not wake her up and adjusted her on the bed. He lightly kissed Jimin's forehead.

"Jaan, I'll never let anyone hurt you or our family."

With that Jungkook went out of the room and went towards downstairs to the hall. From the hall he went straight towards a closed door, after opening the door he went inside and closed the door from inside. Inside the room he shifted a huge book shelf and a secret door appeared behind that book shelf. Jungkook slowly opened the door with a key and he could see a long staircase leading somewhere.

He went down those stairs to the basement and two men in black clothes approached him and saluted him.

"Has she made any more fuss?"

One of the men spoke, "Boss, this woman kept on screaming to let her go but after not being able to eat, quiet down after sometime." Jungkook smiled sinisterly and went to the said person along with those men. Three more men were guarding another door in the basement and immediately saluted Jungkook after seeing him. Jungkook signaled them to open the gate.

One of the them then opened the gate and Jungkook entered the room. A girl was lying on the cold floor with her hands and feet tied. Her face looked haggard with all the crying. This woman was none other than Nancy.

Jungkook went and sat in a single couch with his legs crossed and looked at Nancy mockingly. One of the men poured some water on Nancy to wake her up. "Wake up the boss is here to see you."

Nancy immediately sat up in fear and also a bit curious to see who the actual boss was and who actually kidnapped her. But when she saw the person sitting in front of her shock was written all over her face.

"Jungkook, why are you here? Please help me, they actually kidnapped here."

"It seems Miss Ahn Nancy still doesn't realize the overall situation here. It is I, Jeon Jungkook who kidnapped you and kept you here in this basement so that you can't create any trouble with my wife and daughter. You know Jimin was really worried that you would create some kind of trouble today at the party and ruin the whole ceremony and she wasn't wrong you actually dared to plot to ruin the ceremony. And to prevent that from happening I kidnapped you to give my wife and daughter a peace of mind and happiness. And I Jeon Jungkook can do anything to see my daughter and wife smile." Jungkook said everything with a cold face and his body was radiating such a ferocious aura.

Nancy couldn't believe Jungkook could be such a psycho. She knew Jungkook was a cold-hearted person but he could do all this just to make his daughter and Jimin smile. Nancy felt jealous but was more scared to this crazy side of Jungkook.
