Chapter 36

A lady in her in her late twenties came towards the couple. She ignored Jimin and said, "Jungkook, what are you doing here? I came here with Mr Samar Singh to discuss about the latest Seia photoshoot. Pleasant meeting you here."

The lady was none other than Nancy. Jimin glanced at her but again put her focus in the food. Jungkook called for the manager of the restaurant. Nancy was baffled to see Jungkook ignore her. Even though she knew Jungkook is always cold and doesn't like to talk much but still him ignoring her made her angry. Nancy looked at Jimin and immediately knew that this was Jungkook's newly wedded wife but so what aren't they married just because of that kid so she thought that the relationship between them is probably not good.

At least that's what she thought their relationship would be but when she saw how attentive Jungkook was towards Jimin from afar she felt extremely jealous. Jungkook didn't even look at her properly the time they were together.

Nancy really went to the restaurant for a meeting with the director but when they were coming downstairs she saw Jungkook sitting with his small family and actually looked happy. Something inside her was torn. Everything that now belonged to Jimin should've been hers. She is the actual owner of all this but somehow Jimin was enjoying them. Nancy immediately disliked Jimin.

The manager came in a hurry as he heard Jungkook called for him. "Hello sir, how may I help you?" Jungkook looked at the manager with a cold face and replied, "I booked the whole place so that no one can disturb me or my family when we have our dinner. Then what is this unknown person doing here?"

The manager looked at Nancy with an unpleasant gaze, "Ma'am, I would've to request you to leave from here as this is affecting the guests here." Nancy looked at Jungkook surprised, what did he mean by 'unknown'? Does that mean the time they were together meant nothing to Jungkook?

Jimin didn't say anything and let Jungkook handle the matter on his own. Of course Jimin knew this is the same person who gave birth to Wonie and also abandoned her. So, in Jimin's opinion Nancy really deserves such a treatment.

Nancy's eyes were red and wanted to say something more but Jungkook's sharp gaze made her unable to say anything. So, under the pressure from Jungkook and the manager Nancy had to leave the restaurant.

Jimin somehow felt sad. Nancy was talking and creating a scene but still didn't look at Wonie even once. In her heart Jimin made a pledge to never let Wonie think that she was ever abandoned.

After the nice date and dinner the family of three came back home. Jungkook already informed Jin before hand that they would eat outside so as not to worry her and wait for them during dinner. So Namjoon, Jin and Suga also finished their dinner and were busy with their work.

Since Wonie was tired from all the playing so she fell asleep early today. Jungkook softly put Wonie on her bed and let the nanny guard her.

Jungkook felt he should talk about Nancy and about his past with Jimin as she should know everything about him. Jungkook took a shower earlier than Jimin and was waiting for her on the bed. As soon as Jimin came out of the washroom, Jungkook called her to talk.

Jimin knew Jungkook had been wanting to say something after that incident in the restaurant but probably couldn't. So she quietly sat on the bed beside him and looked at him to start.

Jungkook took Jimin's soft and small hands in his big ones and started, "Jaan, you might already know who that woman was at the restaurant. But I want to clear something out today, I have no feelings for her what so ever. One year back, I went to a friend's party where even Nancy was present. She schemed along with her father and drugged me to sleep with me. You might think of me as an old fashioned guy but my parents have always taught me to respect ladies and I also believe that a couple should be sexually intimate only after their marriage and not before that."

Jimin smiled a little when she heard this but let him continue. "But that didn't happen with me and Nancy got pregnant. But truth to be told I was really happy to know that Nany was pregnant with my baby and give the title as Mrs Jeon. During the pregnancy somehow Nancy never cared for the baby. She went out on parties, drank alcohol and also missed several doctor appointments. Nancy almost lost Wonie due to her drinking habits and maa got really worried. At first I thought these were her mood swings but still prevented her from drinking but who knew she drank in my absence. I lost my patience with her when she almost miscarriage. There was huge argument between us and she let me know that it was never her intention to get pregnant and wanted to abort the fetus. She just wanted the title of Mrs Jeon and become a great model. I promised her a lot of benefits in exchange for her to give birth to Wonie."

Jimin's eyes were glossy and tears fell from her eyes. Even though she heard the story from Tae but she didn't know that a woman can be so selfish. Jungkook wiped the tears and continued, "Jaan, please don't cry. The sad story has ended so please don't cry anymore. Besides, didn't Wonie get a wonderful mom in you." Jimin sniffled and tightly hugged Jungkook who also hugged her back.

After a few moments, Jimin controlled her emotions and asked Jungkook the question which has been in her head for a long time. "Kookie, are these marks on your back from a whip? " Jungkook sighed and replied, "Yes, dadu (grandpa) punished me that day after I told them what happened between me and Nancy. But don't worry they are all healed and I also think dad did the right by punishing me after all I did something wrong."

Jimin felt as if someone was squeezing her heart. Why was he punished even though he didn't mean to let that happen? "Did your uncles and aunts pressure dadu to whip you?" Jimin felt Bogum and Ha Joon definitely instigated Jungkook's dadu to beat him like that.

Jimin was going to meet Jungkook's dadu (grandpa) for the first time as he couldn't come at their wedding due to some health issues. This time when they go back to the Rampur village for Wonie's Annaprasana (rice eating ceremony).
