Hello Readers,
Sorry it has taken me so long to update... I was still trying to decide what course I wanted to take with this story. I am now happy with the way things are playing out, and believe that with a couple more parts, this short story should be concluded.
I apologize because I wrote this story late last night, and haven't exactly had the chance to correct it. I figured I either post it now or delay the update a few more days. I figured everyone would choose the former. Anyways, I hope you enjoy it and hopefully I'll have more up soon.
Take Care, JQ
I enter the trailer and my eyes immediately dart to my rumpled bed, the sight makes a smile grace my face. While I have had other experiences, last night was the epitome of perfection. I had never felt so connected, so in tuned with another person. The memory of Emily writhing beneath me, showing me how happy I made her...well it made me feel like a man.
I shake my head at the direction of my thoughts and walk up to the bathroom door where the light still remains on. Poor Em was probably too afraid to come out after my brother's outburst then Silas manhandling me; followed by my subsequent cursing. I lightly knock on the door and softly say "Emily baby, it's me. You can open the door now. Sorry for my family barging in, they were unaware I had someone over, and feel extremely bad for interrupting our privacy. They would really like to meet you and apologize for themselves."
I wait a minute, assuming she is gathering her thoughts together before answering. I assume the whole experience must be a bit traumatic for her since they most likely caught her in a state of undress. After no response comes through, I knock again, thinking maybe she didn't hear me. When once again she doesn't answer, I begin to feel a little restless. I suddenly remember the gash on her head and am instantly worried she may have passed out in the restroom.
I am about to bang on the door when my eyes, for some reason, glance over to the kitchen area. The chairs that had been holding her wet clothes so they could dry are now empty. A bad feeling creeps its way down my throat but I push it to the side knowing that it possibly can't be what I am imagining. I grasp the bathroom door handle and it turns easily in my hands. I find exactly what I expected and my heart feels like it got hit with a sledgehammer.
The bathroom is empty, Emily snuck off. Hurt beyond belief, I rush into the small bathroom and yank the shower curtain aside, tearing it off its rings. The last shred of hope I had, that she could have possibly been hiding, vanishes. Emily really left me, but why?
I barge out of the restroom and storm out of my trailer. My brothers remain where I left them, in a semi-circle inside one of my garages. Silas, at seeing my evident anger, stands and quickly approaches. In Greek he asks "Is everything alright? Did she get mad at you because of us?" I want to feel humbled by the fact that Silas cares enough about me, that he worries he messed up my relationship somehow but I am simply too hurt right now.
Mr. Blackbourne raises an annoying eyebrow at me and haughtily asks "where is the girl?"
I growl out "her name is Emily and she fucking left!!"
His face shows no sign of shock and all he does is simply shrug. How can he act so careless? Doesn't he realize this girl took a tiny piece of myself when she left? Kota always the observant one blurts "she must of left before we got here."
I turn to face him, my whole body shaking. "What?!" I yell at him.
He acts like my screaming doesn't affect him and announces calmly "I was sitting with your trailer in my direct line of sight and would have noticed her leaving. She definitely left before we arrived."
