Manikarnika Garodia Medical College

Ruhi looked at the picture of the college which was grand and beautiful. She then started reading the diary while lying back on her bed. Her parents wanted her to pursue medical, hence, she wanted to check how life in medical colleges was years back. Moreover, the writer had already attracted her to the stories of the people mentioned in the diary.

Dear Diary,

Another session of my MBBS begins from today. It's my third year and I can't believe how I have passed the last two years, that too alive. I have topped my batch again, much to the disappointment of many batchmates, but I cannot help it. They should talk to the professors rather than picking on me.

Rishu came second by the way, and I am glad that it's him and not that Mayank Markande guy. Huh! Mrinali did decent and she reached second year without any supply paper. To be honest, she could have done much better had she not been in love with that Shubman Birla.

Vaise, I shouldn't blame her as I am myself head over heels for the famous playboy of our college. Mr.Hardik Malhotra has all the charms to change girlfriends within weeks, party hard till late night and then top the class as well. I wouldn't have believed that he doesn't have a channelled man who passes him the question papers prior to the exams, had I not seen how good he is in practicals and seminars.

Today was a good day. Yah! I mean, good in the sense that today nobody made fun of me, Bhaiya didn't have to rush to save me from a bully, neither did somebody put red paint over me while I entered the class.

Sometimes I wonder, why does ragging happen so much? Is it something which should be celebrated and enjoyed? I don't think so. It's absolutely horrible for weak-minded people.

"Geetu, you better keep ignoring them. You'll see, one day they have stopped,"Bhaiya often said.

Yep, it worked somewhat as the amount of bullying towards me has subsided a lot as compared to the initial days. But it hasn't stopped completely. Bhaiya is a tough guy. He had once pushed his bully from the stairs and that moron had cracked his leg, while Bhaiya had denied the allegation completely.

He had once fought with a group of bullies outside the college and after that nobody dared to apply their ragging skills upon him. But I am just the opposite. I am naive, I am an introvert, I am someone who would better run away than take a stand and earn attention from the passersby.

Bhaiya complains about my submissive attitude. Yesterday he was telling in a disappointed tone about how much he dislikes it when I stop him from protecting me or taking an action against my bullies.
