Swagati stood at the lawn of Rishabh's house and drenched in rain while crying. She had finished her rekindled love story with Hardik with her own hands. She regretted hurting him like that, but she knew how much distant he had grown from his parents. If she would have married him without their consent then things would have turned more sour. Moreover, she would have taken a leap of faith and married him anyhow if her own family would have given their consent. But since none of the sides would be happy with their union, she had no other way.
"Abhi abhi toh hum miley theh Hardik, aur humesha ke liye bichar bhi gaye! I know tum bohot dukhi hoge. Naraaz hoge mujhse. Nafrat bhi karoge shayad. Par main kya karti? Hum dono ke family humare relation ke against hain. Also, you really deserve someone from the business family, like Alisha is. Main toh kabhi tumhare layak thi hi nahi,"she said while crying.
Suddenly an umbrella was held above her head and she turned back to find Rishabh, who sighed and asked,"phirse dil toot gaya?"
She stared at him before hugging him and crying. He embraced her back and said,"we are unlucky in love, Geet. We are."
Seeing them from the balcony, Rukmini went inside immediately, while Swagati pulled back and told him everything. He heard her patiently and said,"tu khush rehe payegi usey chhorkar?"
"I have to. He will get accustomed to Alisha slowly."
"Geet! If you're his true love then he'll never get accustomed to her. Love happens once, rest is just life. And life goes on somehow."
Swagati looked down and he held her and sighed while saying,"roh matt. Jo hogaya soh hogaya. Chal. Andar chal. You all are shifting tomorrow right?"
She gave a nod and they walked side by side when she asked,"Golu! Tu aur Inaaya..."
"We don't have anything between us, Geet. Don't think much about it,"he said and she went quiet, understanding that something was off about him again.
The duo walked into the house only to find Sumit and Rajneesh waiting for them at the livingroom while Rukmini and Sangeeta stood at a distance.
"Bachpan ko relive kar rahe theh dono, chhoro na yaar,"Rajneesh said.
"Nahi nahi! Aisey relive karne se toh nahi chalega na. Aasnpados ke log dekhenge toh kya sochenge? Doh jawaan ladka ladki aisey beech lawn mein umbrella ke niche khade hain ek duje ko galey laga kar,"Sangeeta said.
"Sorry!"both Rishabh and Swagati said together and Rukmini said,"sorry? Sirf sorry se nahi chalega. This is a serious problem. Also, now it seems like tum dono ek dusre ke bagair rehe nahi sakte aur."
"Mom! Kya bol rahi ho,"Rishabh said.
"Aisey anjaan banne ki acting matt kar Golu. Humein sab pata hain."
