So I know I've been gone for a long time but finals week is the one to blame. I've been jumping from one test to another for the past month and barely had time to breath.
But soon it will be all over 🥹
Anyhow 🦖🦖
Let's get into this story
Hopefully part two would be out tomorrow if some test didn't want to pop out on my schedule by then
Intro: Ian has been serving in Afghanistan for the past two years now, leaving his beloved husband and daughter behind, but no one expected him to come like that.

"Daddy, daddy, look," Rylie called out loud as Mickey raised his gaze towards her as she did another cartwheel for the thousandth time today.
"Good goob, Ry, maybe we can sign you up for gymnastics next year."
"Really?!" and he nodded, wanting to say another word before the doorbell rang. He stood up from his place on the couch and made his way to the door. Opening it and seeing a sergeant made his heart drop.
"Mr. Milkovich," he started, but Mickey cut him off.
"What hospital is he at?"
"Mercy Hospital, would you like me to give you a ride?"
"No, I need to get our daughter, so if you can leave, that would be great."
"Of course," the officer said. "I'll meet you there," and then he left, and Mickey closed the door behind him and felt tears coming down his face. He rarely cries; he only cried twice in his life—the day he and Ian got married and the day Rylie was born. Now he is crying because he doesn't know if the man he loves is dead or alive.
"Daddy, what's wrong?" Rylie asked as she saw him trying to wipe the tears from his eyes, "Who was that? Who was at the door?"
"That was one of my papa's soldier friends."
"Is Papa back from his trip?" she asked excitedly. How are you going to tell her that she might not see her papa again? That he might never say goodnight to her or goodmorning, never read her her favorite bedtime story, or make her breakfast in the morning. How are you telling this sweet little girl that big news?
"Ry papa was hurt during his trip to Afghanistan, and he is right now in the hospital."
"Can we go see him?"
"Are you sure? The hospital is a very scary place for kids."
"Daddy, I'm four; I'm a big girl now," she said, crossing her arms around her chest.
"Alright, go get your shoes on."
"Can I take Mr. Unicorn?" She asked, giving him those puppy eyes that made him fall in love with Ian all those years ago.
"Of course," he said softly as she skipped to her room to get her shoes and her stuffed animal.
They arrived at the hospital shortly after, and Mickey did all in his power to not crush the car to the side of the road and join his husband on the other side of life. Leaving their happily ever after as they always imagined it. As they walked inside, they were met with the Gallaghers, all looking terrified for their dear lives. But she smiled happily as the little girl jumped into the embrace of her aunt and uncles.
"Which one of you is Mr. Gallavich?" A nurse asked, appearing from behind them, and Mickey raised his hand slowly as Fiona and Lip nodded in his direction.
"And you all are?" She asked, looking at the large group of people that all stood up suddenly.
"They are his family; I'm his husband and our little one over there," Mickey said, pointing in Rylie's direction, which raised her arm in the air.
"Okay, well, I've got some news about Mr. Gallavich," she started, and then looked back down at her clipboard for more information.
"Ian was shot, as you know, during line of duty in his left leg, which unfortunately cut down the main supply of blood to this part of the body, but we were able to recount the blood supply to his leg, and he would be able to walk again after some therapy." Mickey felt his heart almost collapse after hearing those news stories. But by the tone of the nurse, he knew there was more.
"Yet, he also suffered from a traumatic head injury, and with his bipolar disorder, he had lost his memory."
"Bi-what? The fuck are you talking about?" He yelled suddenly.
"It's a mental disorder; our mother used to have it before she passed away, but Ian never showed any signs of it." His heart again collapsed. Ian was sick, with no memory. Who the fuck let that happen?
"Are you sure he has it?" Lip now asked.
"Yes, his commanding officer told us. He was diagnosed by the army medic two weeks ago." If his heart had collapsed before, now it was down on the ground. He felt like shit. He remembered two weeks ago when Ian called him, and he couldn't pick him up because he was in some stupid meeting. He probably called him to tell him the news, and he was too damn busy to pick up a single phone call. He is the worst husband in history.
He hit the floor in a matter of seconds as all the nurses around them circled him in a matter of seconds. He could hear Rylie crying her eyes out; he could feel Franny trying to shake him awake, but all he saw was pitch black.
