Don't tell them

After leaving the south side and moving to the upper side of the city, Ian and Mickey decided to change their careers. Well, more than a bit.
"The fuck do you want to do?" Mickey asked, looking at the red head next to him in bed.
"We can open an office together, get our degrees with the GED we took, and make more money working legal jobs than the drug runs with the ambulance." "You really think they are going to let the ex-convict get into the law?" Mickey asked, "We can try." Ian suggests, "Besides, we served our time, and we don't have more conviction.".
"You know I'm a Milkovich, right? I've got more conviction than my dad and brother together," Mickey said.
"Then you can be my sexy secretary," Ian smirked, moving to sit over Mickey's lap.
"I ain't no one's bitch," he called as Ian straddled his lap. "You're sure about that?" Ian asked as Mickey moaned in response.
"That's what I thought, my little southside thug. Now you're going to sit back down and take it, and then we are going to work on getting us an office and degree, understood?" Mickey nodded as Ian moved towards his lower body.
The next day, Mickey worked up in their bed all by himself. He looked around confused, but when he smelled the sweet smell of pancakes and a fresh pot of coffee, he jumped out of bed, pulling on some boxers and pants, leaving his shirt on the floor. Well, technically, Ian's shirt, but who cares; they are married after all. "Morning Mr.Milkovich"
"Morning, Mr. Gallagher," Mickey smirked, kissing Ian softly over the lips before moving to pour them both a cup of coffee as Ian set breakfast over the table. "Thought about my offer again, Mick?" Ian asked mid-breakfast.
"I did, actually. I'm still saying no because no one would let us run a law office; I mean, it's giving people more ways to be mad at us with the gay thing."
"The gay thing isn't related to us getting real jobs so that we can pay the bills one day normally. Get a real job so we can support each other because, by the end of the day, we are a team, Mick." By now, Ian was looking lovingly into his eyes, like the day when they got married.
"We make a pretty hot team."
"Yes, we are." Ian smirked, kissing Mickey's temple as he blushed.
"Fine, we can do it," Mickey said as Ian pulled away from him. "But I ain't your secret; I want to be the scary guy too."
"I'm sure we can arrange something."
This is how they found themselves ten years later at the Gallavich law firm. One of the biggest and most successful on the north side of Chicago. They both managed to enroll at DePaul University after taking their SAT and redoing the GEP test. Both saved them a place in the school. After dedicating their asses to the mission and some persuasive words from Ian, who didn't let them drop this dream, the two opted in as soon as they had their diplomas in and a pass of the bar exam, which was the hardest for the two of them. But they had each other to support them all the way, helping and loving them no matter what.
When they opened their office and started on the required plan, the two decided to keep their relationship aside and focus on building their network while taking care of their baby boy, TK. That was born two years ago, after the two were finally settled in their office. They adore their little boy, who is their goal in life—to carry on with everything they are doing. They even fell into the routine of one of them staying at home with the boy three days a week and then switching while the other was working.
No one dared to ask about this arrangement of getting scolded by Mickey with the same south-side look that he kept on around the office.
Yet, after so many years of working together, people start to get suspicious.
One of them is their new secretary, Oakley. And her first clue was a shopping list that she had to hand Mickey from Ian since he couldn't answer the phone at the meeting. While casually looking through it, she saw some strange things. Like diapers for TK and Ian's cookies, but what was more surprising was Lube scraped up next to a red heart. She assumed maybe it was a private joke between them, but when she saw condoms listed next to them, she guessed that maybe they were fuck buddies.
The next day, Ian was back at the office, greeting everyone good morning as he made his way to his office.
"Good morning, Ian." Oakley smiled as he moved past her desk.
"Morning Oakley, Is there any meeting I need to know about for today?" he asked, leaning close to her desk.
"You have Mr. McKallfy at Eleven a.m. and Donna at one for lunch with Mickey, as you promised her after winning her case."
"Oh, shoot, it's today?" He called, "I totally forgot. I gotta call Mickey; anything else for today?"
"You have the case hearing for the North brothers at nine and seem to know about it; would you like me to call Mickey?"
"No, no, I got it. Where did we meet with her?"
"A diner downtown, Patsy, something." She then moved to her computer to search for the address "it in."
"I know where it is, south side kid, remember?" he asked, smiling as she nodded.
"Okay, I'm going to call Mick; thank you, Oakley. Have a good day."
"You too," she replied back as he moved towards his office, pulling out his phone and dialing Mickey's number.
"Hey, babe, we forgot about Donna for today."
"Oh, shoe, is it today?" he asked with a raised brow.
"Oh shoe?" Ian asked, confused.
"It's not my fault he repeats everything." Mickey smiled as he tickled TK more.
"Daddy, help me!" he giggled as Ian laughed.
"Put him on. I want to talk with the little cookie man." Mickey then handed the phone to Tk.
"Hey daddy," he called excitedly.
"Hey, TK, Are you going to be a good boy for Papa today so we can all get ice cream when I get back home?" Ian asked
"Can we get the chocolate chip cookie one?"
"Sure, but you behave well, alright?"
"Yes, daddy," TK nodded. "I love you, daddy."
"I love you too, TK. Now give your papa the phone. I need to talk with him for a second, okay?" TK nodded, forgetting that Ian could not see him, before handing Mickey the phone as he heard him sending the boy to play.
"Yes, Mr. Lawyer, how may I help you?" Mickey asked, smirking.
"Firstly, that's hot, and I'm at work right now." Ian started hearing Mickey's sight in dismay.
"Secondly, we have to get a sitter for TK. Do you think you can get someone from my family to look after him?"
"I don't think they can did you forget? They have Liam's graduation in two days, and they are all on their way there right now. Me and TK have already called them to say good morning."
"Fuck, what are we going to do?" Ian asked, passing his hands through his hair, "We can't take him with us."
"Maybe someone from the office can look after him; who do you trust the most in there after Greg?"
"He is an asshole that I won't leave my kid with, and you know it, and we should fire him soon."
"Yeah, that's a good idea," Mickey agreed. "What about Oakley?"
"Then how are we explaining the situation to her?"
"I don't know you're a lawyer; you can figure it out." Mickey shrugged, holding his laughter.
"We both are," Ian called in frustration, leaning against the wall.
"I'm going to ask Oakly; she is a mother; she can look after him for an hour, right?"
"I guess," Mickey replied, then moving his attention to TK as he ran towards him with his new car that they got for him.
"Papa, look at the car fly," he said as he moved the car up in the air, making some background noise to match.
"That's awesome, buddy. Hey, wanna go get ready? We are going to take a trip to mine and Daddy's office. How does it sound?" He asked as the boy yelled excitedly, running into his room to pull on some clothes.
"Okay, me and TK are getting ready; we will be there in an hour."
"Alright, see you, then love you."
"I love you too," Mickey replied before hanging up. Ian then sat back down, opening his computer, to start working on some things for his meeting today. Oakley walked inside with his cup of coffee.
"Here is your coffee," she said as she put it next to his desk and then moved toward the door.
"Thank you," he replied, but then cut himself: "Actually, Oakley, can you do me a favor and order some hot chocolate with extra chocolate chips on top and a brownie? Mickey is bringing a guest over."
"Someone we know?" she asked excitedly.
"Not yet; you'll see," he replied as he nodded.
"I'll get it over here."
"Thank you," he said, nodding before turning his attention back to the computer.
After reading over more of his notes, he was too distracted to hear little legs running towards him, with Mickey shushing him in the background. TK didn't listen to his papa before jumping towards his daddy's embrace.
"Daddy daddy!" He called excitedly as Ian smiled and pulled him to his lap.
"Hey, superman, how are you today? come to see me and Papa's work?" He smiled, kissing the boy's cheek, who clapped his hands excitedly. As they were too busy in their little happy buble, they didn't notice Oakley walking inside.
"Hey Ian, I got what you ordered. She cut herself off, looking amazed at the little boy. "Omg, who does this cutie belong to?"
"That would be us." Ian smiled, raising his hand in the air with his wedding finger on his ring finger. How the hell didn't she see it before? that both of them have matching rings that they both wear on their ring fingers.
"Omg, you're married! How didn't I see it before?" She asked as Mickey shrugged and Ian elbowed him.
"And this little guy is?" She asked, looking over the little bye on Ian's lap.
"Tell her your name, Superman," Ian nudged him.
"TK!" he yelled, excitedly giggling.
"Nice to meet you, TK. I'm Oakley. I'm working with your dads here," she exclaimed, and he jumped from Ian's LPA running behind her.
"Would you like me to show you around the place?" she asked him as TK turned to look at his dad.
"Daddy? Papa?" he asked, knowing he needed his parents permission before going anywhere.
"Yes, you can go. Me and Daddy will wait for you here." Mickey was sad, smiling at the little boy before he ran away with Oakley.
"Don't worry, I'll look after him today when you go to lunch," she called lastly before leaving the room as the two men called 'thank you'.
Mickey then closed the door behind him and moved towards Ian, smirking, "You know we never got to do something in here."
"Oh yeah?" Ian replied, pulling Mickey on top of the desk, who moaned replied in response.
"Well, unfortunately for us, we got some clients coming soon, so we would have to postpone this to later."
"Sometimes I don't know why I listen to you," Mickey called.
"Because you love me," Ian smirked, kissing his neck.
"I'll have to call you back on that." Mickey smirked as Ian chuckled.
"Now get off the table and fix up your clothes; we gotta be professional here."
"Fine" Mickey was moving to the mirror to fix his clothes as Ian leaned against the table, smirking at the man.
