transition

Alexia has been dead for quite some time now and Hope hasn't left her side ever since she did the spell. Some of Alexia her last words had really gotten into her head, like calling her Andrea or the always and forever. Of course Hope has told her her full name, but never has she talked about always and forever.

Just when she was thinking of how she would bring it up, Alexia gasped for air. "Ale." Hope sighed relieved before pulling her girlfriend into a tight hug.

"Uhg, god, why is everything soo damn loud." Alexia holds her head as the piercing pain in her head won't go away. "It's all part of the transition." Hope explained and she couldn't help but be glad Alexia was right.

"Transition sucks, this damn room is spinning isn't it?"

"No, it's not." Hope said laughing about Ale being so dramatic.

"I'm so hungry... I feel like I could eat at least ten of those delicious sandwiches Landon makes."

"Love, believe me you don't want a sandwich right now... I'm gonna go get dr.saltzman and we're going to make sure you finish your transition, okay?"

"Okay, but hurry."

Hope nodded before going to find dr.saltzman. She needed someone human for Alexia to feed on as she didn't want it to be herself. "Dr.saltzman?"

"Yes, what can I do for you, Hope?"

"I kinda need your blood... Long story short Alexia is in transition and I know you're gonna be mad at me for lying to you, but I couldn't send her away."

"What did you do?" dr.saltzman asked her with a lot of anger and concern in his voice.

"Like I said i'm sorry, but sending her into a prison world wasn't an option. Alexia died and now she's alive, in transition which is why she needs human blood, your blood."

"Hold on, how is she even alive? There was no beating death, we couldn't find a way to keep them from dying so how the hell is she in transition?"

"I-I don't know, she just is." Hope lied, she knew it wasn't up to her to tell him the truth. To be honest Hope doesn't even know the truth herself, she doesn't know how it's possible that Ale is alive. Not that she really cares, she is okay with Alexia being a miracle as long as it means she's alive.

"Lead the way." Dr.saltzman motions for Hope to walk and within no time they were back in the room where Ale was waiting.

"Took you long enough." Alexia complained.

"It was 5 minutes."

"5 too long."

"Girls..." dr.saltzman rolled up his sleeve and stood next to Alexia ready for her to feed on him. "So I have to bite you? For real? This feels illegal."

"Just do it."

"Okay, jeez, fine." Alexia took a deep breath before feeding on dr.saltzman. Once she stops feeding and she coughs realizing how disgusting that was.

"Now girls, i'm gonna need some explanation here."

"I told you, we don't know." Hope spoke up as Alexia seems to be frozen and unsure of what to say.

"Of all people I didn't expect you to lie to me, Hope. I'm used to this sort of behaviour from people like your father, but not yo-" Dr.saltzman gets cut off by a now very angry Alexia. "Don't you dare bring him into this! If you're angry be angry with me, I can take it, but don't reflect it on her."

"I am angry... My own students are trying to hide something..."

"Hope has nothing to do with it." Alexia said looking her girlfriend in the eyes and she knew what she had to do. She knew there was a chance he'd kick her out, but there was no need for Hope to go down with her.

"I'll- I'll tell you the truth right now if you'll listen, but leave her out of it."

Hope couldn't believe Ale would do this, it isn't fair. She wanted to protest but Alexia shakes her head. "Hope, please?" Hope nodded before she left the room. As she's outside she realized what she had just done. She left her girlfriend alone in a room with the person who hates her father the most. The only thing on Hopes mind is what dr.saltzman would do when he finds out Alexia is Kai's daughter.

"How will I know you're telling the truth?" Alexia goes through some drawers and grabs one of the magic things Hope keeps. "Magic lie detector..." She holds up the orb that light up either red or blue, the one Hope used on her and Landon when they first showed up at the school.

"Well? How are you... Alive?"

"A little while back I went to visit my mother and during my visit she told me about my dad, my real biological dad, who so happens to be a vampire." Alexia paused wanting to read his reaction. "My whole life I wondered who he was and now I wish I never found out... The truth is that he is nothing like I dreamed about and if I didn't die I would probably have never told anyone about it."

"Who is he?"

"You don't want to know." And for the first time the orb turned red. Of course he wanted to know, but she just didn't want to tell him. "Who is he?"

"Malachai Parker... The sociopathic abomination of the family who killed several of his own..." The orb turned blue and dr.saltzman looked at her the exact way she had seem him look at the malivore monsters.

"I knew I should've never let you into my school... I can't believe I let Hope convince me to let a monster into my school."

Alexia couldn't believe what she was hearing, she hasn't done anything to him or anyone else around them. He has no reason not to trust her, not after everything she has done for the school. She has been just as loyal as all the others, standing up when things went south.

"I want you to pack your things and get out! No child of that man will ever come close to my girls again, your whole existence is a disgrace."

"Got it... You seem like you've made up your mind about me anyways and besides, I wouldn't want to be here anyway,  I know how you deal with these sort of things." Alexia knew she was being hard on him, but he just kicked her out of her home. She is getting treated like she's the monster when she didn't even know what her father had done until a few weeks ago.

"You can exit the room now, i'll be gone before you even know it."

Dr.saltzman slowly exited the room and Alexia immediately started to pack her belongings. Once she had everything she needed she placed the note that she wrote on Hopes bed hoping that she would understand. Having done everything that she needed she left the school without telling anybody, she couldn't have anyone talk to her right now.

Dr.saltzman got back into his office where Hope was already waiting for him. "What happened?" Hope asks getting out of her seat. "Alexia is no longer part of this school." The man said as if it was nothing.

"Unbelievable." Hope muttered before storming out of the office. She walked into her girlfriends room, except she wasn't there, not anymore. The note that sat on her bed took her attention so Hope grabbed it.

My Love,

I've left the school without a goodbye and for that i'm sorry. I wish things between us could be easier and I wish I could be a better girlfriend to you, because you deserve much better than this. You think you always need to fix things, but this time i'm asking you to let it go and focus on you. Please for once put yourself first and enjoy yourself, watch star wars with Landon or go have a girls night with the twins. I don't want you or them to worry about me and my problem, because i'll be okay, I always am.

All I ask of you is to remember that i'll always be your Ale and I will love you no matter what will happen next in our lives.

A tear fell down her cheek as she read the note. She can't believe Ale is actually gone, she left her. Hope knows how much Kai has hurt dr.saltzman, but she's also aware of how much her own father has hurt Alaric. If her father had it in him to change who's to say Kai couldn't and if he really couldn't she still knows Alexia could be different. Ale is complicated, but she wouldn't intentionally hurt anyone.

The rest of the day Hope spend her time being angry at dr.saltzman and wondering where Alexia had gone and how she would even start explaining it to the others.
