Murdered

The next morning Maya woke up, but there was no sign of Alexia anywhere. At first she thought she was just downstairs or something so she checked and Alexia was nowhere to be found. It was strange cause from their conversations last night it seemed Alexia would have nowhere else to go. So where the hell is she.

The truth was Alexia left early enough to not have to explain the impossible situation. Last night Maya talked about her mum seeing dr.saltzman. And Alexia really didn't even want to find out what he would do when he found out she's staying with his girlfriend or whatever they are. Another thing she didn't want was for Hope to find out where she was, that was the last thing she needed right now.

It was also very weird because yesterday Alexia couldn't even remember her and for some reason when she woke up this morning all those memories seem to have come back to her. It was like that time Hope had jumped into malivore, she felt an emptiness inside.

So there she was standing by a payphone making a call to new orleans.

Freya: Hello

Alexia: Hi Freya... It's Alexia, Alexia Kirby.

Freya: How are you?

Alexia: I suppose i'm fine.

Freya: Honey, what's going on?

Alexia stayed quiet unsure of what to say. She wanted to tell her the truth, but what good would it do. The truth will only ever lead to more questions and those questions will only ever hurt her.

Freya: Is Hope with you?

Alexia: No. No, Hope's not here

....

Alexia: I wanted to ask you something.

Freya: What do you want to know?

Alexia: Do you think bad parents can have good children?

Alexia: Or- or are they just doomed because their parents sins have been so bad.

Alexia: Cause when a psychopath has a kid they often turn out to be psychopaths too don't they. And when a serial killer has a kid they often start killing too when they grow up.

Freya: Children often take after their parents, but not all. A child can go their own way, make their own choices and live their life the way they want.

Alexia: Do you think the children can ever be truely happy?

Freya: Of course, anybody can be happy.

Freya could sense something was off with Alexia and it makes her worry.

Freya: Are you sure you're okay?

Freya: Would you want me to come visit you and Hope?

Alexia: No. no, that's okay.

Alexia: I don't want you to drive all the way down here only to see us study.

Freya: I would if you want me too.

Alexia: I'd love to see you again, Freya, but another time maybe.

Freya: Okay, will you be okay?

Alexia: Of course, why wouldn't I be?

Freya: I don't know.

Alexia: I gotta go.

Alexia ended the call, putting the phone back. When she did a certain smell invaded her nose, a smell she knew all to well by now. She hadn't been a vampire for long, only two days now and it's all very new.

Using her new abilities she followed the scent of blood into some alleyway. Behind a container there was a body covered in it's own blood. Normally Alexia would throw up at seeing such a sight, but now all she felt was her need for the blood. Shaking it off and taking back control she turned the other way running away from the body.

Someone just got murdered and Alexia found the body. Instead of calling the police like a normal person would she ran away as fast as she could. Something inside of her was telling her it was wrong, but she didn't have a choice. She couldn't have the sheriff see her after she left without a goodbye this morning.

By the time police had found the body it was all over the news, reporters had taken countless pictures and mystic falls now know they have a killer among them.

At the salvatore school, during the tour for the new students Hope had gotten pulled aside by dr.saltzman. Him being close with the sheriff gave him the perks of knowing inside information on the murder. That way he knew who had killed him.

"What's going on?" Hope asks.

Dr.saltzman put a picture of the dead body in front of her. "He was murdered earlier this afternoon... I'm afraid we've let a murderer walk free."

"You can't seriously pin this all on Alexia."

Dr.saltzman got out more pictures, showing a more clear cause of dead. "Bite marks, a vampire killed him... I think it's pretty clear who our killer is."

"Why would she do that?" Hope asked not believing her Alexia would ever kill anyone. "Because she's just like her father, Hope! She's a heretic with the brain chemistry of a sociopath!"

"I don't believe it... It can't be her."

"Start believing it, Hope. The sooner you see her for what she really is the sooner you can stop hurting."

The next morning Hope got called to the principal's office again. Before she went in she already had an idea of what it was going to be about and she was right.

"A second body was found just now. It seems like she has just got started."

'She is not a killer.' That's what Hope wanted to say, but instead she said something else. "When are we going down there? To see the crime scene or whatever?"

It's not like she actually believes Alexia is a killer, but she knows it's a waiste of time to try and convince dr.saltzman otherwise. He has his mind made up and is too blinded by his hatred for Kai, that he can't see the reality. Or perhaps Hope was the delusional one, believing in a lie.

"Right now sounds about right." dr.saltzman opened his drawer and grabbed a crossbow out.

"Let's not waiste another minute then." Hope wasn't too worried about the crossbow thing, she knew Alexia didn't want to be found and probably wouldn't be found easily.

The two drove down town to check out the newest body. They were talking with the sheriff who filled them in on everything. "The body was drained again, same bite marks as the last kill."

"Has anybody seen anything? Do you have like a gender or or a heigt or something at all?" Hope asked in hope she would tell them it's not Ale and just some vampire that's visiting town.

"Not quite... Well... There was one witness stating they saw a teenage girl with brown hair run away from the first crime scene."

"You think that's her?"

"Well, we can't judge it based of one witness. Who knows, she might have just found the body and freaked out." The sheriff started to explain before adding onto it. "And I don't believe a young girl could have pulled that of, she would need immense strength to keep the first man from fighting back.

"You'd be surprised by what just a young girl could do."

The young girl he was talking about was just seeing the news, seeing her girlfriend in some of the pictures of the crime scene. She thought the two murders in two days are insane, she got a gut feeling that this was all turning into a killing spree.

For some reason Alexia has been the one finding the bodies twice now and it concerns her. She doesn't mean to she just feels attracted to them in a way. This morning she actually ran into the murder whilst it was still happening. She saw a boy feed on a man, she couldn't see his face tho because he took off when he heard her coming.

It made her wonder if maybe she was attracted to the vampire and not the bodies.
