Alexander: "I'll be back as soon as I can. Just stay here and stay safe."Amara: "Are you sure it's a good idea to go out there alone?"Alexander: "I don't see any other choice. We need help, and I'll do whatever it takes to get it."Marcus: "Just be careful, man. We don't know what's out there."Alexander: "I will. Don't worry, I'll be back before you know it."With that, Alexander ventures out into the dark woods, the shadows swallowing him whole as he disappears into the night. The others watch him go, their hearts heavy with fear and uncertainty. They can only hope that he'll find help and return safely.
He walks and walks and walks—it feels like he is in a loop—taking a break against a tree and ignoring the crunch of a branch as he goes. Eventually, he encounters a bear. Alexander stumbles upon the cave entrance in desperation as he fights to escape the charging bear, his heart racing with fear. He dives into the darkness without thinking, running for his life from the approaching threat. His solace is fleeting, though, as he becomes aware of how dire things actually are for him. As he confronts the bear cubs, the cave—which was previously believed to be a sanctuary—quickly reveals its true nature. The enormous room is filled with their savage snarls, which reverberate off the walls like a menacing choir. Alexander watches the mother bear approach, knowing he has nowhere else to go but prepare for the worst. Alexander feels an excruciating amount of pain as the massive creature strikes with such ferocity. All that can be heard above the savage beasts that rip into his flesh are his screams, echoing off the cave walls. Alexander's last cries, lost to the merciless wilderness and enveloped in darkness and the aching grip of death, fade into the abyss.
RULE FIVE: Do not go into the woods; bears and wolves roam there.
Amara's voice trembles with concern as she speaks up, her eyes darting around the room in search of reassurance. "Do you think we should go look for him? It's been hours, and he hasn't returned."Jacob nods in agreement, his brow furrowed with worry. "Yeah, I think we should. Who knows what could have happened to him out there."Ben chimes in, his voice filled with regret. "I can't believe we let him go alone. It was a stupid idea."Melanie nods solemnly, her thoughts mirroring those of her friends. "We need to find him before something bad happens. Let's go search the woods."Their resolve firm, the group prepares to venture into the darkness in search of their missing friend, their hearts heavy with the weight of uncertainty and fear.
Ben says, "Hell no," because that is how people die in horror movies when they go looking for the missing friend, but before he can say anything more, a girl knocks on the door. She has a strange smile on her face and asks for a room to sleep in.,
Amara cautiously eyes the girl at the door, her skepticism evident in her voice as she responds, "Um, sure. You can sleep in one of the spare rooms upstairs."The girl's grin widens unnervingly as she steps inside, her eyes flickering around the room as if searching for something. "Thank you so much," she chirps, her tone cheerful yet oddly unsettling.Jacob exchanges a wary glance with Ben, his unease growing by the second. "Who are you?" he asks, his voice tinged with suspicion. The girl's smile falters for a moment before returning to its previous intensity. "Oh, I'm just passing through. Thought I'd take shelter here for the night," she replies vaguely, her eyes lingering on each of them in turn.Melanie shifts uncomfortably, a sense of foreboding settling over her. "Well, make yourself at home, I guess," she says, her tone hesitant. As the mysterious girl disappears upstairs, the group exchanges uneasy glances, their apprehension mounting with each passing moment. Something about her presence feels off, and they can't shake the feeling that they've just invited trouble into their midst.
Amara's heart raced as she stepped into the hallway leaving her friends in the living room, her footsteps echoing eerily in the silence. The girl stood at the far end, bathed in a faint, ethereal glow, her hand outstretched in a beckoning gesture. Despite the unease churning in her stomach, Amara felt compelled to follow.
Each step felt heavier than the last as she approached the girl, her mind racing with a million questions. Where had she gone? What did she want? But before she could voice her concerns, the girl turned and glided toward the backdoor, her movements fluid and graceful.
Amara hesitated at the threshold, a sense of foreboding washing over her. Something wasn't right, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it. With a shaky breath, she pushed the door open and stepped outside, the cool night air sending shivers down her spine.
It was then that the girl's true nature was revealed, her form twisting and contorting into something grotesque and otherworldly. Amara's blood ran cold as she realized the danger she was in, but it was too late to turn back now. With a sinking feeling in her chest, she braced herself for whatever horrors awaited her in the darkness.
the girl transforms into a nightmarish creature before her eyes.A guttural scream tears from Amara's throat as the beast seizes her, its grip like iron as it drags her toward the filthy puddle. She thrashes and fights, but the creature's strength is overwhelming, and she finds herself submerged in the foul water, choking and gasping for air.Desperate and terrified, Amara struggles against the creature's relentless assault, her mind reeling with fear and confusion. She reaches out for help, but there's no one around to hear her cries, no one to save her from this nightmare. As darkness closes in around her, Amara's final thoughts are of her friends, alone and vulnerable in the cabin. She prays they'll find a way to escape the horrors that lurk within its walls, even as her own fate is sealed in the icy embrace of the puddle.
