kazuha's face lit up with a bright smile as soon as your face appeared on the screen. "hiii, y/n," she greeted cheerfully.
"heyyy," you responded, your tone noticeably less enthusiastic.
"are you okay?" kazuha asked, noticing the difference in your usual excitement during your facetime calls.
"oh, nothing much, i was just in my feelings," you replied, trying to brush it off.
"well, i hope you feel better... i just called to tell you i saw your story and wanted to let you know how hot you looked," kazuha said, thankfully changing the subject.
you immediately grew shy, covering your face, unable to ignore how her words lifted your mood. "stoppp, kazuha."
"i'm just speaking straight facts, y/n," she replied with a grin.
"no, you're doing this on purpose. you know your effect on me."
"is that a bad thing?" kazuha asked playfully.
"yes, because i had a sad playlist going, and you called me and changed my mood so fast."
"well, looks like i'm doing my job to make you feel better. plus, you being shy is cute."

you two continued to chat on facetime for a while longer until kazuha noticed you were getting tired.
"you tired, y/n?" she asked, already knowing the answer.
you immediately sat up, trying to appear more awake. "no, i'm not. i'm good, keep talking, just resting my eyes."
"you sure?" kazuha asked, and you nodded in response. she shook her head at your stubbornness but continued talking anyway.
kazuha glanced at the phone to see you still 'resting your eyes,' though she knew you were already knocked out. "goodnight, y/n," kazuha whispered, even though she knew you couldn't hear her. she smiled, not hanging up the call, but putting herself on mute so you couldn't hear her next words. "i'm definitely falling for you."
