1 week ago - The Ancient Palace Excavation Site, Gwacheon

The sun blazed overhead, casting sharp shadows on the excavation site as Professor Namjoon led his team of eager students through the ruins of an ancient palace in Gwacheon. The dig had been ongoing for weeks, but today, a palpable sense of anticipation hung in the air.

"Alright everyone, this looks promising. Let's see what's inside," Namjoon said, pointing to a half-buried stone chest.

"Do you think it's another batch of pottery shards, Professor?" one student asked, their voice filled with curiosity.

"Maybe, but let's hope for something more exciting," Namjoon replied with a smile.

With careful precision, the students excavated the stone chest. Namjoon knelt beside it, gently prying open the lid. Inside, they found a tightly sealed wooden box, remarkably well-preserved.

"Wow, look at that! The craftsmanship is incredible," another student exclaimed, awe evident in their voice.

"Indeed. This box might have belonged to someone of high status. Let's open it carefully," Namjoon instructed.

Namjoon slowly lifted the lid of the wooden box, revealing its contents. The students gasped in unison as they saw an old, weathered portrait of a king, along with several scrolls and a beautifully embroidered robe.

"Look at this portrait… he must have been a king. I've never seen a face like this before," Namjoon said, his voice tinged with amazement.

The king depicted in the portrait had an oval face, big doe eyes, and plump, rose-colored lips. Despite the age of the painting, the man's ethereal beauty shone through.

"He's… stunning. Almost looks unreal, doesn't he?" another student murmured, captivated by the image.

"Yes, even in this old paint, he looks ethereal. The artist captured his essence perfectly," Namjoon agreed.

As Namjoon admired the portrait, he noticed the scrolls beside it. He gently unwrapped one of them, the ancient letters might be revealing intricate calligraphy detailing the king's life and reign… he need to investigate the letters to find out that.. Among the scrolls was a robe, carefully folded and embroidered with a distinctive tuna pattern.

"This symbol on the robe… it looks familiar somehow," Namjoon mused aloud.

"What do you mean, Professor?" a student asked, curious.

"I'm not sure, but I've seen this pattern before. We'll need to investigate further," Namjoon replied, his brow furrowed in thought.

Ignoring the nagging familiarity of the tuna embroidery for the moment, Namjoon focused on cataloging the items for further study. He made careful notes and took photographs, ensuring every detail was recorded.

"Alright, everyone. Let's pack these up carefully. We'll transport them back to my office at SNU for a more detailed analysis," Namjoon instructed.

"This is incredible, Professor. Finding something this well-preserved is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity," one student remarked, excitement evident in their voice.

"Indeed it is. Let's make sure we handle everything with the utmost care," Namjoon said, smiling at his team.

The team worked diligently to pack the portrait, scrolls, and robe into protective containers.

"Who are you, really?" Namjoon muttered to himself, his mind racing with questions.

With the items secured, Namjoon supervised their transport to his office in Seoul. As the last box was loaded onto the truck, he took one last look at the excavation site, a sense of anticipation filling him.
