He was sitting in a meeting with his boss Namjoon and their clients. It was to discuss the final details for the upcoming wedding, which Jungkook was assigned to plan and supervise until after the event was done. It was only one week left until the preparations started.

'Aaahhh, I just want to go home already. This meeting is taking forever!'

Yes, he was a wedding planner and at the moment he was fed up with all the happy couples visiting their company day in and day out. He wanted a loving partner for himself, but working nonstop was making it impossible to even go and meet someone.

"Mr. Jeon will join you at your wedding next week, he will stay in the hotel and you can reach him any time. Right, Jungkook? We are really sorry about the absence of Mr. Hwang, but his wife's mother has just passed away and he is on special leave. I hope to have your understanding. But Mr. Jeon will help you having the wedding day you always dreamed of. In our company every wedding coordinator has the same qualifications, so it will be perfect." Namjoon smiled at them with his dimples showing.

Jungkook nodded and smiled at them, but his smile didn't reach his eyes. Fortunately the customers didn't notice. He was tired of all the smiling, being happy and polite. He needed some time off.
After the meeting was over he and Namjoon headed back to the office.
"Dude, what is wrong with you? You seem so out of it for the past few days." the older asked him in an irritated tone. "Customers may seem annyoing to you, but we need them for our business. At least fake your smile a bit better next time."

"Yes, I'm sorry, hyung. I will work on my smiles." he was showing his annoyance to the point where his boss and good friend needed to remind him of his appearance. This was embarrassing and no good. He then asked him "Hyung, is it maybe possible for me to take some days off? I need to get my mind out of work for a bit. Somehow I just feel stressed out and tired."

"If that's what will help you to cool down and get your professional attitude back here then I will gladly let you rest. I can't have my best man lost in a burnout or whatever you want to call it. How about after next weekend, when the wedding is over? I can get Jennie to take over your clients."
"That would be great."

"But be sure to get her a thank you gift, you know how much she likes to help you out." he winked at Jungkook.
"Man, you know I'm not interested in women! I already told her many times as well."
"Ok, then. But be sure to thank her properly. I gotta go, next meeting is up, busy time for us!"
"See you then, hyung!"

He left for the kitchen to get a coffee and returned to his seat.
"Haaaa" he let out a long sigh, leaning his head into the chair, stretching his arms into the air.
Jennie's head popped up from behind his monitor.
"Jungkook-ah, are you okay? That was a deep sigh."

Jennie and Jungkook have been working together for many years and were seated across each other. They talked a lot during working hours. One helped the other out very often. If either was on sick leave or went on vacation the other would take over their clients for a while. Sometimes they would meet clients together, because some asked for both, a male and a female worker helping them with decisions.

Jennie would often support the brides in choosing the wedding dresses, decorations or flowers, while Jungkook would show the grooms the best suits in town, test alcoholic beverages or rental cars. Of course they had all qualifications combined in one person, but the customer is always right. If they wanted female company they would just swap or work together. Easy as that. The company gave them a lot of freedom in their way of handling customers.

"Jennie noona, I'm sorry, but you will be supervising my clients for the week after next week. Want to go grab some food and drinks after work today? A little thank you in advance, between friends, you know?" Jungkook always made it clear to her that she was nothing more than a friend. He hated getting someone's hopes up to people he liked, or people in general. He was gay and his closest friends and co-workers knew about it.
