Actual sleep washed over both of them after their tension was completely wrung out of their systems and the next morning came. Midday arrived just as quickly as they had anticipated, because both busied themselves with their respective work. Taehyung spent his time tidying up his apartment while Jungkook had to pack up and move remaining equipment to his car. A two-hour drive later and they were finally reunited after a whole week of busy schedules.
Just as promised they picked up their little conversation after almost eating each other at the doorstep. Quick and strong hands picked up long slender legs that easily wrapped around the tiny yet defined waist and seconds later everything continued on the bed, which Taehyung finished arranging mere minutes before the doorbell announced the arrival of his boyfriend.
Their Sunday ended after more than one satisfactory round and day turned to night much too soon.
"Get home safely and don't forget to send me a message once you arrived." The long and slender fingers ran through the younger one's hair before settling in his nape as they parted at the door.
"Will do, my bear." A soft peck turned into more, again, much too quickly and Jungkook had to pull away with everything he had left of his willpower. It was close to gone whenever he and Taehyung were together. He didn't even notice the defensive and shy walls he had built around his heart for the past two years disappearing completely in the other's presence.
Taehyung wiped the corners of his lips with a few strokes of his fingertips, as if he just finished a delicious meal. "See you."
At last they were able to part, even though it was evidently hard for the two lovebirds.- ♡ -
The long awaited birthday weekend came. Jungkook had finished his work late on Friday and returned back home only to pack up, leaving for Taehyung's apartment immediately after. He didn't want to spend a minute or even a second longer without his boyfriend. It was still his birthday when he left his work, but as soon as he sat in his car the clock struck twelve. 'Well, whatever.' he thought to himself. Taehyung was right, they weren't teenagers anymore and they could spend any day they wanted to celebrate each other's birthdays.
The drive was short in distance, but felt like forever. It hasn't even been a week yet and he couldn't wait to arrive. Whatever Taehyung had planned out for him was going to be something he would enjoy, he was sure of it.

Taehyung couldn't suppress how giddy he was feeling about the weekend. His hands were trembling slightly as he sat on the couch, waiting for the doorbell to ring any minute now.
He had prepared a cake and sparkling wine to at least have a small sort of celebration close to Jungkook's actual birthday. He knew the other was a bit sad about not being able to spend the first special day together as a new couple. Talk about being a helpless romantic. He had already admitted to it a few weeks back, so who was Taehyung to make fun of him for it? He secretly loved it.
The familiar loud sound of bells going off at the door pulled him out of his trail of thoughts and he rushed to push the buzzer. With one last look in the full-length mirror he arranged his clothes, turned around to check every side and the door swung open. Their beautiful smiles grew bigger and the two men couldn't keep their hands off each other even before the door closed. They should definitely get rid of this habit. One day one of their neighbours is going to have a heartattack spotting them making out heatedly.
"I missed you." He finally let out after their first exchanges of steamy hot kisses stopped for the sake of closing the door. He pulled the dark brunette towards the kitchen where the bunny shaped cake stood, the sparklers and candles waiting to be lit. He turned off the lights and pulled out a lighter from his pocket. And when sparks flew all over the place he began singing for his boyfriend in his velvety low voice.
