It was an alright day - at least for Haruka Suzuki.
On the day of Karasuno's Entrance Exam, wearing her new uniform; white blouse, scarlet necktie, black pleated skirt along with black knee-high socks and polished ebony shoes - she stood there silently. Spotting the two enormous trees on each side of the gate, swaying along with the wind whilst multiple voices filled her ears.
For the majority of these new students (as well as parents it was an emotional day.
"You've grown up so much~"
"Dad stop crying. You're embarrassing me"
"Honey! Honey! Take a picture!"
"You got it, sweetie"
*click*
"Why don't we ask for someone to - Oh Excuse me!"
"*whisper* no mother"
"Why what's wrong with asking?"
"Study hard, kid,"
"I'm excited to start high school"
"Yeah. Me too"
"Me three - But I'm also nervous"
"Experiment and date. . .live your life!"
"That's the advice you give me mother?!"
Unconsciously, her eyes scanned her surroundings to the number of students who were with their parents on the first official day of school. Something within herself made it difficult for her to breathe from these happy sights, however, Suzuki took a deep to calm herself down before she continued to admire her new school.
However, she remembered what her auntie said.
Suzuki eyed her (happily) drunken Auntie giggling uncontrollably.
"My little Suz~ski is in high school ah~~ how grown up you are"
Meanwhile, the long-black hair female stared at the figure in front of her noticing the empty drink and silently clutching the bottle of sake - gently refilling the glass.
"Thank you, Auntie. I'm extremely grateful for your support,"
She smiled sincerely, only for it to disappear immediately when arms embraced her tightly.
"My little Suz~ski~ don't grown uo~"
Suzuki beamed happily at the memory and felt like she could breathe properly.
"Youcandothisyoucanmakefriendsyoucandothisyoucanmakefriends"
She turned and noticed a female who was a few inches shorter than her, with short blonde hair, with the same uniform as her. Tilting her head out of curiosity, Suzuki decided to stroll carefully to the anxious figure who mumbled to herself.
"Youcandothisyoucanmakefriendsyoucandothisyoucanmakefriends"
The closer Suzuki got, the clearer she could hear the poor girl chanting those sentences. Arriving slightly behind the student, she took a deep breath and spoke - cutting off the student's rambles.
"Excuse me" "Eeeekkkk!" The female squealed in horror.
Sweat dropping, Suzuki took another step forward for the female student to see her clearly; spotting light brown eyes that pierced her dark chocolate ones with nervousness.
Suzuki waited until the other student's figure to be relaxed and soothed.
After waiting for a few seconds, the black-hair female spoke with a gentle tone.
"Um . . . I'm Haruka Suzuki, I'm also a first student here at Karasuno. What's your name?"
It took another few seconds for the blonde female to process what she had said, shaking her nerves while placing her hands on her chest.
"My . .my . . .my name . . .my name is . . .Hitoka Yachi. Nice to meet you Suzuki-chan" Yachi greeted with a respectful bow.
However, standing straight back and seeing Suzuki's shocked face, Yachi rewound her memory (by a few seconds) before realising what she said.
"I MEANT SUZUKI-SAN!! - *mumble*oh my gosh. It's my first day of school, we're not close enough friends. Oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh" Yachi was freaking out.
"It's okay," The tall female spoke, "Let's be great friends, Yachi-chan,"
Yachi's breakdown immediately dissipated.
"Ah~ I'm not worthy," she turned away, seeing this imaginary light gather behind her first friend at Karasuno.
Nevertheless, Suzuki cut Yachi's imagination off when she noticed fewer students were outside the establishment.
"Yachi-chan, we should probably head in to find our classes before the ceremony starts," she suggested, with Yachi agreeing.
As the two wandered to where the students were gathered (which were tall boards of paper that held their assigned classrooms) Suzuki couldn't help but spot a tall male student with blonde hair and hanging silver headphones walking so . . .
"Normally,"
That's what she thought, also realizing a male (with dark greyish-green hair) roaming next to him.
