It's Just A Crush

Chapter 2

It was just an ordinary day, with the students roaming around during their break. A few groups chat in their classroom, some rushing to grab the best thing in the cafeteria shop and others racing outside to play their sports games.

Meanwhile, Haruka Suzuki was standing in front of a sitting Takeda-sensei, inside the teacher's faculty room; discussing a few things regarding the boys' volleyball club.

". . .So. . ." Takeda-sensei continued, "The trip to Tokyo for the training camp is coming soon, so I'll be relying on you to collect the first-year permission slips. And also to remind others about the short training camp coming shortly and that everything has to be prepared,"

               Suzuki nodded and processed the information carefully.

"Remember to let Kageyama and Hinata study for their supplementary exam on that day as well. Also, is it alright if you ask your Aunt if we can book the restaurant for the volleyball club?"

"I can. Just let me know what date you decide to book the restaurant,"

Takeda-sensei nodded with approval, smiling at the now-finished conversation.

"Okay then, I don't want to waste any more of your break, so have fun and eat," He advised.

Suzuki bowed at her teacher before calmly exiting the faculty room to begin her quest for the permission slips. She clutched a box of pocky from her blazer and began eating it as she continued to venture to the desired classrooms.

"This is an okay day" she unconsciously considered.

               It was first Kaegeyama's classroom, asking one of the students outside to call upon the intense setter.

Obeying, he walked to the door where they conversed about the permission slip. The setter nodded his head and walked back to his desk; coming back to give the form to his manager, earning a 'thank you' from Suzuki. However, that quickly changed when she mentioned the re-sit test, seeing him flinch and his face turning gloomy.

Calming Kageyama down, she said her goodbyes before stopping at Hinata's classroom, immediately being greeted by her peer with an excited tone. The two conversed for a few moments before mentioning the permission slip - allowing Hinata's energetic figure to dash to his bag where he kept it crinkled. Suzuki 'thanked' him and began to stroll when she yelled about his supplementary exam, turning her head to gaze ahead when Hinata gave a big talk about acing it with an enormous score.

               She highly doubt it.

And finally, she arrived at Tsukishima and Yamaguchi's classroom.

"Hello," She greeted a fellow student near the door.

The female student paused her conversation to stare at Suzuki with a curious look, answering, "Yes?"

"I was just wondering if Yamaguchi and Tsukishima are inside the classroom?" She asked.

"Yep, they're over there," the female student pointed the first-year manager in the right direction.

          Suzuki nodded and 'thanked' the female before heading further inside the room and walking towards the two male figures who had now noticed her presence.

"Oh, Suzuki-san" Yamuguchi greeted her with a soft smile.

Unconsciously, his gentle and calming atmosphere made her smile in his direction, greeting him back.

"Hello Yamaguchi-san, I'm here to ask about the permission slip for the training camp,"

"I have mine already here, I'll go get it for you," he answered before leaving the two alone.
