"Lin Lin..." Ruan Nanzhu called without even realizing what that meant to the other person.

"You.. You remember me?" Qiushi asked his hands and voice trembling.

"Of course!" Nanzhu replied while everyone else froze with shock.

What is he saying?

Does he really remember Qiushi?

Then was he pretending for last 8 years after coming back from coma?

Did he- on purpose-?

Everybody had their doubts but n one dared speak them loud. They only exchanged glances.

Then as if splashing cold water on all, Nanzhu continued....

"Come on, Lin Lin, didn't we go to college together? It's been so many years. Of course I remember you. We were the closest among our friends group, hah, they even thought we were in a relation.. But I have to say, you've grown taller from before and more handsome as well. How have you been these years?"

Qiushi's smile disappeared. He was speechless. So he reall didn't remember anything that happened in those 3 years before the last 10 years and the accident!!!

Qiushi felt his world crumbling. What could he say? That now he really wished he had never come back! Qiushi wanted to d!e in that moment. He wanted to rip open his chest and pull out that stupid useless organ called 'heart' for even hoping that the man in front of him had finally remembered him. He even asked how he had been these years?! Really?

Qiushi subconsciously took a step back and one more step and one more step until he finally turned around and left.

Ruan Nanzhu who was confused, turned around and looked at everyone's pained expressions. No one said anything.

"What happened to him? Did I say anything wrong? Why did he leave?"

Yu Liang, who was tired, and hsd enough by now, walked in front of Nanzhu and held up his hand which had the wedding ring on.

"Do you know what this is?" Yu Liang asked and then as if sensing the movement behind him, he said...

"No one will stop me today. My little cousin has to know, that while he was living his life happily and comfortably for past 8 years, there was someone who barely managed to live. Nobody, not a single one of you had the courage to tell him of his past, the reality, the truth. You even stopped me. Today, if anyone tries to stop me, I swear to God, I will break all my ties with thiz family and move to America forever." Yu Liang wasn't taking it anymore.

Yu Liang was the oldest amongst all the cousins. And Ruan Nanzhu had always been the one he favoured most. It's not that he didn't love his other siblings, just that he loved Ruan more and they were close to each other than the other siblings.

Moreover when he got to know about Qiushi from Ruan, Yu Liang had come to love Qiushi as well. He had been their greatest supporter.

His heart definitely was pulled more towards Qiushi, seeing him suffer so much without even a hint of it on his face. But he knew, he knew that Qiushi had long been dead from inside. He was barely surviving, keeping his promise for past 10 years.

"What are you talking about? This ring...." Nanzhu trailed off as if trying to remember.

"Is this...?" He again stopped and looked up at Yu Liang.

"Yes, this is a wedding ring. And here, this is your wedding certificate." Yu Liang confirmed and handed him the small card.

Ruan Nanzhu took it and opened it, he was shocked to see the other person on the card. It was his best friend, whom he had met just now. Lin Qiushi! They were married! Why didn't he remember though? Right, the accident, coma, memory loss!

Thing were coming in a line as he tried to think harder. He also felt pain shoot up in his head and he frowned.

"Ah, this.. my head." He said and Yu Liang regretted for a second in that moment.

"Did I forget him too?" He asked making everyone turn into teary eyes. Seeing the faces and no response, he answered himself,

"I did, right?" He said in almost a whisper, but the people present in the room heard it very loudly and clearly.

All heads went down one by one. They felt guilty. At this point, they all thought, would it have been okay to tell him about his past? What would be the situation, if he came back a little earlier and their boys were back together again? Did they really make a mistake of not telling either of them of the truth? Did they really...?

"Nanzhu, you and Qiushi, were never just the closest best friends. Qiushi had a crush on you and so did you. It wasn't long before you told me about your crush and finally you both had confessed to each other. How I know? Because I was the wing man. I helped you then. Because same-gender love wasn't yet accepted then, we all kept it low. Then you both moved to Shanghai, where you lived together and you have a home there. Three years later, while you were returning home from the marriage office, there were some issues with the brakes, and you both were driving together. You leaned in front of him and saved him while you suffered too many injuries. He woke up three days later, and it took you 2 years. By the time you woke up, you had forgotten everything, even him. Our families, actually did what you made them promise to do. We all told Qiushi that your body was never found. But in reality, you were alive and living well." Yu Liang explained him.

He made Nanzhu sit down on the couch and then sat in front of him on the coffee table. Yu Liang held both of Nanzhu's hands in his one hand. And with another he held Nanzhu's face, making him look upto him.

"Xiao baobei, you loved him like crazy. Everyone of us here was and is happy for you both. Nobody left Qiushi alone after you left, as we promised, all of us took good care of him. Yeah, he became a successful actor and naturally became a thorn in some people's way. So they fixed him up in some nasty rumors. His fans went on a rampage trying to clear his name. Finally, when he saw that it was just getting out of hand, he took to weibo live and announced that he is leaving the industry and that his fans should stop too. They both wished good for each other and then he disappeared. Until a few days ago, when the Media caught a whiff of you returning back and all his wounds were scrapped open and exposed, he finally returned and so the drama, you saw on the live broadcast. You saw how fast he came here hearing your voice.. He still loves you, nope, he has never stopped loving you." Yu Liang told him and patted his hairs.

Ruan Nanzhu who had more or less realised that he had to have something special with this person, was now clear. Although he didn't remember any of the things, he would ask Qiushi to tell him slowly. And he will also try to make up for the past 10 years.

"Ge, do you know...?" He asked his cousin and Yu Liang knew what he wanted to ask.

"Get up, I will take you to him." He held his hand and they both left without a word or looking back.

"What do we do now?" Ruan and Qiushi's father both spoke at the same time.

"No problem. Xiao Yu is older than them both. If he has taken matters into his hands, he will handle them well. Let's.. let's let them solve things between them." Mr. Lin said patting on Ruan's father's shoulder and the other did the same thing.

"Yeah, and we will stand behind them just like old times." He said and Qiushi's father nodded.

"Yeah, just like old times." He repeated.
