The very next day, it was Sunday, and Ayaan was about to come home. Sathi was really excited to meet him after one week. She had missed his presence, their jokes, and the comfort of having him around. She decided to pick him up from the airport, but before that, as there was still some time remaining, she decided to go shopping for Anaya's engagement on Monday.Sathi called Khushi and Anaya, and together with their mom, they planned a shopping spree. They all gathered at Sathi's house and set out for the day.
The mall was bustling with people, and the atmosphere was lively. As they walked through the stores, Sathi felt a sense of joy and anticipation. It had been a while since she had a fun day out with her family and friends.
"Alright, ladies," Sathi said, clapping her hands together. "Let's find the perfect outfits for Anaya's big day!"
Khushi grinned. "I'm ready! Let's make Anaya the star of the show."
Their mom nodded in agreement. "Yes, let's find something beautiful for my beautiful daughter."
They visited several stores, trying on different outfits and accessories. Anaya looked radiant in each one, and her excitement was contagious.
Sathi picked up a stunning lehenga for herself, with intricate embroidery and vibrant colors. Khushi found a chic saree, while their mom chose an elegant traditional dress.
As they took a break for lunch, they chatted and laughed, enjoying each other's company. Sathi felt grateful for these moments of happiness and bonding.
"So, Sathi," Khushi began, a teasing glint in her eye. "Excited to see Ayaan again?"
Sathi blushed, trying to hide her smile. "Of course. It's been a long week."
"You're glowing just thinking about him," Anaya teased. "You two are so cute together." Anaya said those things because her mom was there.
Their mom smiled warmly. "It's wonderful to see you so happy, Sathi. Ayaan is a good man."
Sathi nodded, her heart swelling with affection for Ayaan. "He really is."
After lunch, they continued shopping, picking out the final touches for their outfits. By the time they were done, they had everything they needed for Anaya's engagement ceremony.
With bags in hand, they headed back home. Sathi checked the time and realized it was almost time to pick up Ayaan from the airport. She quickly freshened up and grabbed her car keys.
"I'll see you all tomorrow," she said, giving her mom, Anaya, and Khushi a quick hug. "I need to go pick up Ayaan."
"Drive safely," her mom said, waving her off.
Sathi got into her car and headed to the airport, her excitement building with each passing minute. She arrived just as Ayaan's flight landed and made her way to the arrivals area.
As the passengers started to come out, Sathi's eyes searched for Ayaan. When she finally spotted him, her heart skipped a beat. He looked tired but happy, and when their eyes met, a broad smile spread across his face. Mr. Dev was with him, carrying some files and talking to Ayaan as they walked out.
"Sathi!" Ayaan called out, making his way towards her.
"Ayaan!" Sathi ran to him, and they embraced tightly.
"I missed you so much," Ayaan said, his voice filled with emotion.
"I missed you too," Sathi replied, holding him close.
Mr. Dev smiled at the sight of their reunion. "It's good to see you Ma'am."
"Me too, Mr. Dev." Sathi replied warmly.
