The next morning, Sathi woke up with a soreness in her legs. She opened her eyes, expecting to see Ayaan beside her, but the space next to her was empty. Her heart sank for a moment until she glanced around and saw him sitting on the edge of the bed, fastening his watch and already dressed for the day.

"You're going somewhere?" Sathi asked, her voice muffled and sleepy as she rubbed her eyes.

Ayaan nodded, slipping into his long blazer. "Yes, I need to finish some work," he replied, his tone gentle but firm.

Sathi sat up, clutching the duvet around her body for warmth. "Okay, but come back as fast as you can. And I will live with you from now on."

Ayaan turned to look at her, his eyes softening at the sight of her tousled hair and sleepy expression. "I promise, I'll be back as soon as I can," he said, leaning down to place a tender kiss on her forehead. "And from now on, we'll face everything together."

Sathi smiled, feeling a warmth spread through her chest. "I'll hold you to that promise."

Ayaan chuckled softly, his fingers brushing a stray lock of hair behind her ear. "I wouldn't expect anything less."

With a final kiss, he stood up and walked towards the door. Sathi watched him leave, feeling a mix of contentment and anticipation.

As the door closed behind him, Sathi lay back down, a sense of peace washing over her. She knew that this was just the beginning of their journey together, but for the first time in a long while, she felt hopeful about the future.

Ayaan got back to a familiar place-a lavish hotel he had visited before. He walked through the ornate lobby and took the elevator up to the 20th floor, stopping in front of room 2003. Taking a deep breath, he knocked on the door.

It was soon opened by Sasha, dressed in a nightgown that clung to her body. Her eyes were half-lidded with sleep, and it was clear she had just woken up. A man could be seen sleeping in the bedroom behind her.

"Look who's here? My darling," she purred in a seductive voice.

Ayaan, clearly frustrated but determined to keep his composure, responded curtly, "Throw that man out."

Sasha's eyebrows arched with interest. "Oh, is that so? Fine, anything for you." She turned and walked back to the bedroom, shaking the man awake. He stirred, blinking in confusion as he saw Ayaan standing in the doorway. Quickly, he gathered his clothes and left the room, covering himself with a duvet in his haste.

As soon as the man was gone, Sasha turned her full attention back to Ayaan, pushing him down onto the couch with surprising force. He didn't react, his face a mask of controlled fury. He knew she was insane, and the urge to kill her simmered just beneath the surface.

"You left that girl for me?" she taunted, bending down so her cleavage was in his face. "You know she was never interested in you."

"Shut up!" Ayaan snapped, his patience wearing thin.

"Shhhhhhhh," she hissed, pressing a finger to his lips as she leaned in closer. Her scent was overpowering, and she smiled wickedly. "Oh look, who's ignoring me again?"

Ayaan closed his eyes for a moment, taking a deep breath to steady himself. Despite the provocative display in front of him, his thoughts were consumed by Sathi. The warmth of her embrace, the way her eyes lit up when she saw him, her unwavering belief in his love-these memories were what kept him anchored.

Sasha continued her attempts to provoke him. She ran her fingers through his hair, traced her lips along his jawline, and whispered seductive promises in his ear. For ten excruciating minutes, she did everything she could to break his resolve.
