___Peter's POV___

Her hair was all out of place and her top hung loosely over her shoulder. She stood nervously playing with the ends of her top. Dylan behind me stared at me and then looked back at Ambriel like he was trying to figure something out.

I glanced around at the boys behind me. Some stared in disgust and other with lust in their eyes. Felix beside me had a bit of both showing clearly in his facial expression.

What had I done? She was small and frail she wouldn't last here. She didn't say anything. She stared at us all wide eyed. She was so much stronger when I first listened to her story's even though she thought herself to be weak.

She now look frightened and curious at the same time. I wondered if I had done the right thing by bringing her here. I mean she was a girl but I couldn't leave her with the monster she would call a father.

She studied healing and herbs back at home. Maybe she wanted to be a doctor even thigh she wouldn't have been able to remember what she wanted to be.

"She is a girl" Felix said from beside me a smirk plastered on his face that quickly vanished back into a scowl.

"Well spotted" I retorted but Felix didn't say quiet.

"Why did you bring a girl?" Felix asked curious of my intentions. I asked myself that question and ran through decent answers in my head. What would I tell the boys?

"We need a good cook" I answered folding my arms across my chest. She frowned at me and tailed playing with the beds of her shirt. Maybe knowing all I wanted was a cook gave her peace of mind. Felix made a face at me knowing I was lying. He knew me too well.

Dylan scoffed behind me. I knew he usually cooked and his cooking was good but I needed an excuse. I couldn't tell the lost boys that I saved her. They could never look up to me again. They needed to be afraid of me.

"And she is a good healer" I added. Some of the boys mumbled. They knew that we need someone with healing sense in the camp , it would save a lot of trouble from colds.

Some of the had almost died at the hands of a disease and knowing someone would be able to heal them they would accepted anyone.

"Where will she sleep?" Felix asked his smirk returning. She took a step back now in fright.

"There idiot" one of the boys called.

"Yeah like that's going to last in the heavy rain" another said.

"She will sleep with us" I said. Ambriel's face fell. I knew sleeping with a load of boys wasn't the first thing in her mind. Yet she remained silent.

Felix leaned back licking his lips. I have him a shove. I didn't want any one of them near her. She was too fragile.
Felix and Dylan stared at her. I didn't blame them.

She was different. Her dark brown hair and a tint of red in it. She had freckles running across her nose.
She had piercing blue eyes and chubby cheeks. She was small well compared to all of us. She looked curious not frightened now. she let her curiosity get the better of her.

She craned her neck to get a better view of the boys who stood at the back.

"Go away" I said waving my hand.

The boys scattered into the woods. Dylan took another look at me and Ambriel and walked away. Felix stayed by my side.

"You too Felix" I said looking at him sternly. He shot Ambriel glare and slowly stalked away in minced the trees. Amber didn't budge. She backed up against the small house we had built her.
