Chapter 87: The Crater of Fire

Just yesterday, you had discovered where to go next to find the Red Gemstone. You were preparing to go on the expedition that would help you find the Red Gemstone. Right now, you were back at home looking at your map wondering where the next location could be. Adenus had told you that it was a scorched land with a dormant volcano. You spent some time trying to figure out where it could be. You then figured it out and pointed to a southern area that is a volcanic island that once held a village.

(Y/N): (thinking) It has to be there. That's where it has to be.

Once you discovered the area, you told your friends and girlfriends about the location. They were surprised by this and they were excited to go along.

The next day

You, Twilight, Sunset, Starlight, the Dazzlings, and the Dragon Riders were packing to go to the island of the scorched lands.

Hiccup: I can't believe that you found the next gemstone. On an island where there's a dormant volcano.

Fishlegs: This is incredible. I wonder what we'll see there.

(Y/N): I'm not sure what we'll see, but I can tell you this. This will be a dangerous place to go to. Even though the volcano has not been active for years, that doesn't mean it could erupt at any moment.

Twilight: Well, it's a good thing we're all going.

Sunset: Yeah. By the way, Wallflower's coming with us. She says that she wants to check this place out with us as well.

(Y/N): That's not a bad idea, but we all need to stay cautious. We don't know anything about this place and we need to be safe.

Everyone nods in agreement.

Outside the house, you see the rest of the Rainbooms and Wallflower all with their dragons. You then turn into a Night Fury and Twilight mounts you. Sunset mounts Sunshear and the Dazzlings mount on Harmonia.

(Y/N): Alright. Are we all ready?

Everyone nods.

(Y/N): Let's go.

You all then flew into the air towards your destination.

While in the air, everyone can feel the breeze flowing through them.

Hiccup: (to you) So how long will it takes us to get there?

(Y/N): From my calculations, it should take us at least a day upon arrival. The island itself is pretty far to travel to, and we can't arrive by boat.

Rainbow Dash: Why's that?

(Y/N): There's rumors that there's some weird monster that's been on the island. No one has reported anything about it. It's known as the lava eater. It's not a Eruptodon nor is it a dragon.

Fluttershy gets a little terrified and lets out a small eep.

Twilight: Well, what if the rumors are true? What if there is some lava eater on the island?

(Y/N): We're gonna have to fight it.

Snotlout: I'm not entirely on board with this plan.

Applejack: Ah'm gonna have to agree. We know nothin' about this monster, so we can't assume that it will be around or not.

(Y/N): Our only way is to find out.

You all then continue to fly out to the island.
