Chapter 71

Eneru lays down on the floor of the Maxuim as the ship starts to finally escape the cave they were stuck in.

Nami: The ships taking off!

It took a moment, but Eneru finally started to get back up.

Nami: No way. He's getting back up?

Eneru: You fools. Is that the best you can do? Make no mistake! When you're gone the world will be mine. And once again everyone will fear me, worship me, and revere me! I am all powerful! In this world filth like you must learn the only truth. By my hand nothing is ever impossible!! For I am the almighty GOD!

The maxim has risen to the point where everyone across Skypiea and the Upper Yard to can see it.

Eneru: Look hard mortals on a falling islands despair. Skypiea will be destroyed the angels lives distinguished. No one can stop me.

Zero: Then there's a good thing there's two of us!

Luffy: You're through!

Ready to charge at Eneru, Zero's legs freeze up unable to move leaving Luffy as the one to start the assault. Eneru places his hand onto the gold statue behind him.

Eneru: Gloam Paddling!

Nami: The golden wall.

Luffy: No, you don't!

Stretching his arm he goes to strike Eneru but he forms a liquid golden sphere around that Luffy's arm gets stuck in.

Luffy: AHH! Hot! Hot! Hot!

Nami: He melted it like butter.

Luffy: It burns! It burns! It burns!!!

Eneru jumps out of the sphere and now Luffy's pinned down with his arm trapped inside as he struggles to get out.

Luffy: Come on!!

Zero: Crap!

Eneru: What's the matter rubber man? Don't you like the way I've evened the odds? I've simply taken the fight out of you.

Luffy: Get this off of me!!

Zero: Move body move!

He punches at his legs, but they refuse to listen to him in fact they give out putting him on his knees.

Eneru: I'm not sure I could take another hit from either of you. So I think it's best we sever ties. But in honor of the spirited efforted you've both shown. Take this gold bobbly as a parting gift!

He kicks Zero into the sphere Luffy's attached to knocking him and the sphere off the ship however Luffy still remained aboard laying against the rail that supported him. Even so his arm continued to stretch inch by inch being dragged down by the golden sphere. Zero luckily garbed onto Luffy's arm and started climbing back up with his one good arm.

Zero: Not yet!

Eneru: Once I'm finally rid of you. This world will be mine again. Just as it was before and not a soul in the world can defeat me!

Luffy: Not a soul in the world? You're an idiot. Even if I can't defeat you. Back in the Blue Sea there are tons of more fighters who can put you in your place! Someone like you could ne-

Eneru: You talk too much boy. Now fall! Fall along with the Sky Island!

Thrusting his staff into the railing supporting Luffy it breaks apart.
