Age 4: Getting Adopted

Skye's POV-

I've been waiting to be adopted for 2 years now and I've met some more friends aswell, Tntina, Lexa, Brutus and Sunny. I want to get adopted but at the same time, I don't want to leave my friends. But I also do hope that my friends also get adopted by lovely people just like me. Although, i hope my parents are rich and have a big house so that I could have my very own bedroom and I could have a phone. That would make me so so happy. 

Anyways, as me and my friends were waking up this morning, we got called down for breakfast, which the staff bought the center McDonalds breakfast which tasted so so good. Afterwards, we went back to our room to play with the toys around the room and an announcement boomed over the speakers; "Will Skye come down to the lobby? A mother and father are here to adopt you today." Omg when I heard that, I was so so excited but at the same time, I was so sad that my friends weren't getting adopted either. 

"OMG IM SO EXCITED FOR YOU!!" Tntina shouted.

"That's so amazing!!!" Lexa said excitedly.

"Good luck with your new parents" Brutus groaned.

"I hope your new parents love you so so much!" Sunny exclaimed.

"Awwww thank you guys so much, I've got all my stuff packed, so I guess this is goodbye until we see each other again.." I said, sad that we would have to split.

"Hey, we will all see each other when we go to school, so don't worry Skye!" Tntina, Lexa, Brutus and Sunny all exclaimed as they pushed me to the door.

I smiled at them as I closed the door to our room for the last time so i could finally meet my new parents. I hope they are as I've imagined them to be.

End of Skye's POV-

Skye made her way down the stairs to the lobby to see her new parents. She was so excited but still sad at the thought of her friends still being here while she got to leave but like they said, they would see each other when school started so they would all be fine. As she was getting closer to the lobby, she was getting nervous that her new parents wouldn't like her that much and that they would send her back to the center after a week. 

"Hey Skye, these lovely people here are your mother and father, Lynx and Midas. But call them mommy and daddy please.' The manager said as she pointed to the two adults staring at Skye.

Skye looked at her new parents, happy that they are taking her home. Midas and Lynx took her hand and hand and walked her out of the center with her belongings. They put Skye and her belongings in the back seat, then drove her off to her new home.

I'm really starting to get a hang of writing again, I'm really sorry for not being really active, I was really busy after 2022 with grade 12, grad, exams and trying to find a job. I'll be active again writing I promise you though.
